Sad about Svensson but inevitable. Still, he was one of the best CBs in the PL in 02/03 and 03/04 IMO, sickeningly that knee injury happened warming up at Farton Rust Bowl as well! Interesting that JP was charge of that game though.

Just when you the club can't get any more strange, it does! You'd have thought Wotte would have been running the game. Perhaps either Lowe or Wilde made a summary decision without communicating it to the other.

But given that one of the key reasons for Poortvliet's failure is that he's "too nice", is that not potentially a good thing? Particularly given that the appointments from within that we have made in the past have always been coaches who have been "popular" or "pally" with the players.
