trousers Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 (edited) Bit of a bombshell. Saw him live a few years ago. Very funny man. Thought he looked ill on more recent episodes of 8 out of 10 cats, but didn't realise he had cancer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-58254859 Edited 18 August, 2021 by trousers
Turkish Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 Didn't know he had cancer either, really sad. Like you saw him live and was brilliant. Only 58 😞
Lighthouse Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 Absolutely loved him on Cats does Countdown. The chemistry between him, John, Jimmy, Suzie and Rachel was always hilarious. Gutted to hear he was taken, far too young.
CB Fry Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 Just a brilliant comic, easily one of my all time favourites. Saw him live and he was so good. Brilliant on Cats Does Countdown week after week after week. A couple of years ago it was clear something was up - there was a series of Countdown where he sounded different and looked unwell. So not a massive surprise but still a shock. And no age, 58.
whelk Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 (edited) Absolute legend and comic genius.. Knocked me for six when heard the news. Lovely humble fella too - so very sad. RIP Edited 18 August, 2021 by whelk

kyle04 Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 Didn't take to him at first, but he grew on me. It's an art to make comedy look off the cuff, and his mildly eccentric style was very British. RIP Sean, will be sadly missed.

Warriorsaint Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 This one hits hard, don’t know why. Definitely one of the underrated , underused greats
Lighthouse Posted 18 August, 2021 Share Posted 18 August, 2021 This has to be one of my all time favourite panel show clips, the way Jimmy just cuts him off. He did seem ill at the time, I just assumed he had a cold/flu.
Doctoroncall Posted 19 August, 2021 Share Posted 19 August, 2021 I can recommend 15 storeys high for those that enjoy his comedy style.
