You may well be right but how many games do you suggest he plays if he does not contribute to the team's success

Provided the assist for the only goal in the win at Watford and scored the only goal against villa, that’s 2 pretty important contributions in 2 pretty important wins

Also got the assist for Che's goal against Utd, which was wrongly given as a Fred OG.

I sound like a broken record now but Ings was shite for us for the first 14/15 months, and he turned out alright. We need to give Armstrong time. He’s gotten worse/less impactive as time has gone on, which was just like Adams did in his first season - to me that just says confidence issues. It’ll come i’m sure, it’s extremely early days.

Indeed, remember some posts on here whilst he was on loan asking if we had to sign him and some saying it was a mistake when we did. Agree, Armstrong has only been here a few months, give him time.

Armstrong is nearly 25 and at 20 Broja already has everything armstrong has and more.  I'm not going to write him off but its not looking good  the last few appearances i haven't noticed he's on the pitch, it's always tough to make the step up to the premier league che has proven that but one things clear he was not ready to be an immediate replacement for ings.  I really hope he can come good next season but how does that help us this season? he needs more game time in preparation for when broja leaves but at the same time he is not first choice or even second choice at the moment.

He works hard, and he's quick, but thats about it. So wasteful when he gets chances, and just overall is not that good unfortunately.

Really hope he can improve next season, or this one could easily start looking like a dud.

Perhaps you haven’t noticed him because he was a sub and at Swansea spent most of his time defending & Brentford was on the pitch for about 5 minutes? Broja was given a 5 year contract by Chelsea for a reason - anyone with one eye or more can see Broja attributes. Very unfair to compare the two.

Think he's only 2 behind Ings in Prem goalscoring stats? Imagine what'll happen if he suddenly catches fire 🙂

Only got another 10 mins today but how easy is he to marshal off the ball.

Neither Ings or Adams were terrible in the first season - they weren’t as good but they both showed they’re capable. Armstrong meanwhile shown literally nothing about him whatsoever, it’s so clear he is out of his depth.

Some can step up, some can’t - that’s just how it goes and Armstrong is a Championship level player, no more.
