Ronaldo hattrick after incoming manager said he had to go !

He may well have score the hat trick but I don’t think they look as good a team with him in it. Sure, he’ll get goals by virtue of being one of the best players of all time, but it’s still a narrow win at home to Norwich for a team which could finish 7th/8th.

That is a ridiculous goal to put Wednesday 3-0 up against MK Dons!

I know quite a few Owls fans. I wonder how they will feel about this result (if they do win,of course) essentially gifting promotion to Rov'rum. There's no love lost between them I can tell you.

Owls focus is getting into play offs themselves, both themselves and Blades tend to look their noses down at Rotherham

A stunner, just in case anyone hasn't seen it.

Probably trumped at the moment by their own promotion chances, but yeah, if they don’t make it, being in a lower league really won’t sit well.

How is Lewington still going for MK Don's?

I remember him when we played them and the worst song in history about you look like a wotsit

Undoubtedly one of the lowest points in the club's history.

Weird that it happened against MK Dons which also saw another hideous moment with the "mars bar on his head" song which started up there in the 6-0 cup win.

has anyone identified the culprit and administered suitable punishment?

ten Hag allegedly said Ronaldo was not the type of player he would want at ManU . On Motd Dublin thought Ronaldo was not the problem as he has scored 20 goals and won matches for ManU , Houghton was less positive saying we would have to wait for the new manager and see the team next season. I should imagine Ronaldo has lined up another top team for next season

Who is going to pay those wages for a 38 yo. Maybe some stupid league that wants some publicity but he isn’t going to a top European side I wouldn’t think

He was probably treated like a hero on the bingo bus home for such hilarious  bantz, the true Archbishop of Banterbury

Sounds like a gruesome injury to Ashley Westwood in the West Ham v Burnley match.

Yeah, he knew immediately and then when Vlasic turned around and saw the injury he (Vlasic) collapsed to the turf with his head in his hands.

Is Toons new Brazilian going to be the king of bizarre goals? They are certainly unorthodox. That's two so far.....

Terrible goal keeping by the KS.

Nasty deflection off his nuts to take it over the line.

Penalty to Burnley!

Stupid stutter run up by Cornet and missed. What a total prat!

Looked like if he'd scored the ref would have ordered a retake because he stopped in his run up. He missed so no retake.

Could end up being costly in the grand scheme of things.   When you're in the shite, put your foot through gilt edge chances,  hit the target.

He missed an open goal from 3 yards last week and now missed a penalty, Burnley fans must be hating him at the moment

Pope has made 2 crucial saves to keep Burnley level.

Fucking Cornet is such a greedy prick.

Agreed, Cornet's last 2 games have really annoyed me, practically sparing Everton right now.

I bet if they get relegated he is the first one out the door too.

Fuck! Sandcastle won in stoppage time.

Well at least they've kept Leicester within catching distance for us. Trouble is I would love to see them beat Everton on Wednesday.

How many more jammy wins are Newcastle going to fluke while playing absolute dogshite!

Time to turn this into a Howe vs Ralph vs Broja vs xG thread to answer this question ;)

Good result for Saints, keeps us 1 points away from 9th 😉

I can’t tell if that’s a point gained or two points dropped for Burnley after that…

Might not be until the end of the season we find out heh.

Good spot from the ref, when I first saw it I called stone wall pen.

Indeed, especially after the saves Pope had to make.

Missing that penalty to go 2-0 will sting though…

Maybe so, but they had a great chance to win it and blew it.  They'll look at these specific games at the end of the season and know that's where they should've got more.

To have the chance to go two nil up with a penalty against a team clearly struggling with fatigue, that is 100% two points dropped.

Also the phycological blow that would have dealt Everton cannot be underestimated.

Saying that, would it have been different with SD in charge still? Perhaps not, maybe they have had a kick up the arse with his removal.

"Absolutely packed in here today" says the commentator as the camera shows all those unused Club Wembley seats around the dugout/tunnel area.

Yep, also they announced the attendance at 76k, which is apparently 2.5k more than yesterday’s game too.

I mean I can somewhat understand yesterday given the travel chaos for two Northern teams, but I’m somewhat surprised this tie between 2 London clubs isn’t closer to 80-85k.
Perhaps must be due to all the other external factors.

A couple of years ago someone either copyrighted or trade marked "man of the match" thinking they could charge a fee every time it was used. Everyone came up with new names for it instead.

Can't be arsed to find a link but you can google it.

In other news, was in Covent Garden this afternoon, a right royal Crystal Palace party was in progress.

The FA Cup is getting tediously predictable. 30 of the last 44 finalists have been the Big Six. 18 of the last 22 winners have been the Big Six (including this year).

"Getting...!" In my lifetime (and I'm nearly pensionable), I can only remember us, Sunderland, Coventry, Wigan and the Skates winning it outside of the top sides.   The FA Cup has been pretty boring for twenty odd years now as far as I'm concerned.

You can add West Ham and Ipswich to that list but yes, it's beyond tedious.
