Lovely finish and a great knowing through ball from Stuart that comes from regular team mate knowledge, because Che still had a bit of work to do getting to it, show cased how deceptively powerful he is.
Hopefully good for us that Che has kept his scoring clock ticking over.

Needed a bit more meat on the through ball for it to be a perfect set up. Che deals with it though but cutting across the defender and buying himself space.

He knows Che's strengths, better to put it in space where Che can use his pace and strength to get there before the defenders than put it closer to the keeper and leave a harder finish under pressure. Or it was just a slightly weak through ball and I'm overthinking it! Whos to say?

Who cares?! 😉

If you are a Scot you are over the moon in the moment as it gets you a seeded slot in the play offs.........they certainly were bouncing like dizzy fools in the crowd.

And good for Che to get that moment to savour.

I see Norway have again failed to qualify for the finals of a major tournament. I hope Haaland and his Dad enjoy watching England playing in Qatar on TV next year.

You say that with a degree of Vitriol, as if it serves him right in some way. All he’s done is choose to represent the country his Dad is from, which he’s lived in since he was three years old.

Quite. From my point of view I have no interest in seeing that lad play for England. What with him not being English and everything.

Honestly it is utterly bizarre that there are some people having a go at the lad for wanting to play for his actual home country rather than to give his international career up to play under a flag of convenience.

Well done to the lad, be proud of your home.

Not vitriol, just frustration from a selfish point of view! He'll be fine, probably retire a billionaire in his thirties, with a shit load of trophies won with a club like Man City or Real Madrid. But he's almost guaranteed to miss out on the biggest prize of all, maybe never even play in any final tournament. Unlike Klose for example, who didn't speak of word of German until he was 8, but went on to 2 World Cup finals, winning one. Also one of the greatest goal scorers in WC history. He chose Germany as the country that could win something.

Why don't you just go and support Brazil or Germany then?

Talking of anthems, the Scottish one is great, hearing the Scottish fans sing it at top voice is brilliant, you will never get that with the English one because it's so shit.

GSTQ IS the Scottish national anthem, also the Welsh and Northern Irish. Their nation is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, they are not nations in their own right. What annoys me is that the other 3 get to choose an alternative regional anthem for sports events, whilst England don't. Why can't we have a unique identity as well ?

As good as this game is, what is the f**king point in cup replays AND extra time? If you can’t settle a game in three hours, who wants another 30 minutes? Just go to penalties.

You obviously don’t remember the days when games used to go to third and fourth replays.

Ah you were staying up to watch live at the Apollo at 10pm 🙃

How can you not like a bit of FA Cup tradition.

Your pedantry is incorrect, as you will note I said anthem not national anthem. Anyway, we are four different nations in one sovereign country, that have a level of autonomy including national sports with their own anthems.

I agree England should definitely have it's own anthem, GSTQ is shit and no one wants to belt it out before a match.

Stayed up late last night to watch Canada defeat Mexico 2-1. Puts Canada top of concacaf with 6 games left to play.

Top 3 qualify directly. There's a great feeling around the country for this squad. It's not just Alphonso Davies, there are many others starring in these games and a real togetherness and high workrate amongst this group.

Great to see.

I'd vote for Land of Hope and Glory for the England anthem.

Land of hope and glory
Mother of the free
How shall we extol thee
Who are born of thee
Wider still and wider
Shall thy bounds be set
God who made thee mighty
Make thee mightier
God who made thee mighty
Make thee mightier yet

Obviously I'm thinking god in the universal sense to encompass religious and theological diversity.  In the words of Dave Allen, "may your god go with you".

I don't mind GSTQ but it is a bit of a dirge.  And I'll not feel so enthusiastic when it becomes GSTK.

That’s already Macho Man Randy Savage’s anthem.

The unofficial anthem of the Tory party - no thanks.

Tried to put a Macho Man Gif in but absolutely no idea how to. And there are fucking loads.

Canada looked pretty useful against Mexico, whose recent generation of players does not match the previous one. That game was played in insane coldness on an artificial surface. I feel most for the keepers, everyone else at least gets to run around to try to stay warm.

I can live with GSTQ but I am going to have a problem when before too long it becomes GSTK, the current incumbent I have some respect for the next up for the job not so much....

Yeah same. Certainly not to the point I would happily singing a song invoking an imaginary deity to bail him out anyway.

Didn't realise that.  In which case, it's a no for me too.

How about Acid country by Paul Heaton?  It's a little long at 8 minutes but covers pretty much every thing you can think of - it's more UK than England but would be a good replacement for the already unpopular GSTK
