I worked it out from the context!

I see Wycombe beat MKD in the L1 play-offs tonight: two ex-Saints scoring and 3 in total playing: Tafazolli, Vokes and Gape.

I'm not sure Vokes was one of us, but Jason McCarthy played as well. Good to see those lads doing well.

Born in Southampton and started out in our academy as a kid, but released very early I believe.

I know his father, Tim. Big bear of a man but nice with it.

His dad is a good lad and proper saints, used to bring Sam with him to games when he was young.

Theres a real Saints connection in that Wycombe team, Mccarthy came through at Saints, went to local schools and some of his shirts are on display in the Painted Wagon pub run by one of his relatives.

Vokes was stood right by me at Anfield in the semi final , massive Saints fan along with his Dad, top man.

Pleased to see Wycome beat Franchise FC, hope the Chairboys go up

Championship playoff places to be decided today. Sheff Utd 2-0 up already and looking good for a place.

Would be happy for either of them, Forest or Hudds to win it. Not fussed about Luton or Boro though.

Why would you want sheffield United or Huddersfield up over Luton?

Cos they are local away games for me. I can walk to Bramall Lane from my local pub. Even Nottingham is only 40 mins on the train.

Imagine being a Northampton fan now. Missed out on promotion by goals scored after the team catching you win 7-0 on the last day. The exact result they needed to overtake them

Obviously no-one will bat an eyelid at the pitch invasion at the end of the match, but the one during the match might be seen in a different light. Bristol Rovers went into those last ten minutes knowing exactly what they needed to do.

Can't see the league wanting to deduct points and decide the league off the pitch, but there might be a hefty fine headed their way.

Joey Barton's previous claims about match fixing in football are probably going to get dug up too.

Why are all the good young players all such divers nowadays? Elanga is quality and just gone down twice in two minutes for no-contact fouls.

Thing is, we didn't get a pen today because Broja DIDN'T go down so you really should be asking why players WOULDN'T dive?

And especially not having spent half a billion quid on their squad (plus Ronaldo on a free).

Manchester United is another example of piss poor scouting and squad building, rather than the managers being fully at fault. They've tried Mourinho, Van Gaal, Ole and now Ragnick and nothing has ever changed. All that money pissed away on manager settlements and manager contracts etc. They need to back Ten Haag in the summer, provide proper scouting and absolutely rip that team apart and start again, right down that spine.
