suewhistle Posted 5 May, 2022 Posted 5 May, 2022 I worked it out from the context! I see Wycombe beat MKD in the L1 play-offs tonight: two ex-Saints scoring and 3 in total playing: Tafazolli, Vokes and Gape. 1

Good to see those lads doing well. Edited 5 May, 2022 by egg

Theres a real Saints connection in that Wycombe team, Mccarthy came through at Saints, went to local schools and some of his shirts are on display in the Painted Wagon pub run by one of his relatives. Vokes was stood right by me at Anfield in the semi final , massive Saints fan along with his Dad, top man. Pleased to see Wycome beat Franchise FC, hope the Chairboys go up 3
alehouseboys Posted 6 May, 2022 Posted 6 May, 2022 CL final at the Stade de France, capacity 81,000. They’ve given the 2 finalists 19,500 tickets each, what a joke...oh, hang on, it’s Liverpool, carry on.
LiberalCommunist Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Man City better shake off the autopsy real fast, or they are in danger of leaving with nothing.
Sheaf Saint Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Championship playoff places to be decided today. Sheff Utd 2-0 up already and looking good for a place. Would be happy for either of them, Forest or Hudds to win it. Not fussed about Luton or Boro though.
Lighthouse Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Spare a thought for Northampton town fans who will get promoted as long as Bristol rovers don’t win 7-0 or more… oh. 🤣🤣 3

Turkish Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Imagine being a Northampton fan now. Missed out on promotion by goals scored after the team catching you win 7-0 on the last day. The exact result they needed to overtake them

Bristol Rovers went into those last ten minutes knowing exactly what they needed to do. Can't see the league wanting to deduct points and decide the league off the pitch, but there might be a hefty fine headed their way. Joey Barton's previous claims about match fixing in football are probably going to get dug up too. 1
igsey Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Why are all the good young players all such divers nowadays? Elanga is quality and just gone down twice in two minutes for no-contact fouls.

Thing is, we didn't get a pen today because Broja DIDN'T go down so you really should be asking why players WOULDN'T dive?
Jimmy_D Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 What a goal that would have been... Man Utd getting humiliated here.

Manchester United is another example of piss poor scouting and squad building, rather than the managers being fully at fault. They've tried Mourinho, Van Gaal, Ole and now Ragnick and nothing has ever changed. All that money pissed away on manager settlements and manager contracts etc. They need to back Ten Haag in the summer, provide proper scouting and absolutely rip that team apart and start again, right down that spine. 2
Jimmy_D Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 Pointless but funny stat; Watford have been relegated despite taking 4 points off Man Utd this season. 1 1

Saint_Tony Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 great result, commentators dont seem to be making much of it; its an absolutely massive 2 points dropped there. The greatest club side the world has ever seen at least wont be winning the league. 2
adrian lord Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 With a bit of luck they will be making do with the league cup only.
BotleySaint Posted 7 May, 2022 Posted 7 May, 2022 It's far from over for Liverpool. City have got a tough few games ahead against potentially tricky opposition. Liverpool have just got us at some point
