I can't believe how bad Arnold has been.

If Livramento continues his rise, he could become England's regular right back in a few years and poor TAA will continue to find his path to the right back slot blocked. An abundance of riches in that position.

4-0 at home to a team from a country with a population barely more than Old Trafford's crowd capacity is an underwhelming result.

Considering it was basically our B team that played for the majority of the match, it's not that bad really.

It certainly can't be considered a great result, none of the B team made a case to play again, TAA out of position looks shite, JWP must hate seeing another double barrelled player in his place who isn't even a midfielder

The results don't mean too much at this stage, as long as we are able to kneel in Qatar & promote a tournament that has always been 100% fair to human rights, then we get a nice pass from me. Go England! Go Qatar. Go dead slaves who built the stadiums.

All a bit bizarre in the game between Brazil and Argentina.
brazilian officials have walked onto the pitch in an effort to detain and possibly deport 4 Argentinian players…..because they have recently been in the UK and broken quarantine rules.
they did warn them back at the hotel….but the Argentinians ignored the rules.
the four players are well known over here.
game is stopped and not sure what’s going to happen.
Although it does not name the four, the players with Premier League clubs are Emiliano Buendia and Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa and Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur.

1-0, 4-0, 7-0, it doesn't really matter, this group won't be decided on goal difference.

What's worst, the apparent double standards of people who care about one thing but don't mention 'every' other injustice in the world.  Or people who pretend to care about something they don't?

I know it was a good hit from Kane but could Bednarek have tried to head that clear rather than duck away from it?

Difficult to tell from the replay angles.

Was my initial thought, seemed to duck out the way initially instead of diving towards the ball.

It was Linetty it went just past wasn’t it? Thought Bednarek’s had a decent game actually.

No, definitely Bedders.

He did have a good game overall, granted. Did look like he ducked away from the shot though.

Yeah, had a chance to see the replay now, think it was more flinching than actively ducking out the way, but he’ll probably be disappointed not to have got something on it.

Don’t get the big hoohah about losing the 100% record in the group stage - it means absolutely fuck all once you qualify. Didn’t we do that recently and then have a shocker of a tournament? Either way, we’re gonna finish top and a point away at Poland isn’t a bad result.

I still think Southgate is just McLaren but with a couple of world class forwards and nicer fixtures.

Expand

McLaren actually won something as a manager.

Southgate will eventually bluff his way into a decent club job and be sacked within six months. Nice bloke, great at PR, but tactically inept.

Soft spot for the Poles ever since the Battle of Britain. Hope they qualify

Yep,  fighter pilots were told to open fire at 300 yards from enemy planes, the Polish ignored this and opened up at 100, virtually point blank range, or so the story goes.

 No substitutes used.

Yeah that was surprising. With Philips on a yellow, he should have been hooked and replaced with someone who could put in the tackles needed in the later stages to stop Poland from building any momentum.

Poor decision-making from GS.

We were looking tired and overrun in the final few minutes. Three substitutions staggered sequentially would have taken the sting out of the Poles and given some respite to our players. Very strange.

God damn it. Spurs so spursy today. And now Edouard the signing that never was scores for them. Please don't be that sort of day, please,,,,,,,

Why? It’s going to be an emotionally exhausting season if you’re praying for supposed relegation rivals to lose after three games.
