Tino was highlighted on motd as following managers orders that nullified Arsenal’s attacking movements ie always backing up the first defender on the right hand side .

According to the BBC text Tino is playing right wing. Interesting. A lot of fans thought he'd be decent there.

We would have been in a stronger position to keep him had we stayed up, no doubt. However, who's to say he wouldn't have wanted to leave and we wouldn't have sold him anyway? The last few seasons were desperate, if I was a player I wouldn't have wanted to stick around for 5,6,7 wins a season. It's bad enough as a fan, it must be truly shite as a player and if you've got suitors you'd be off.

He was always a buy-to-sell project for us, we'd never have seen the best of him. Had we stayed up he may have given us another year, but I reckon clubs would have still be sniffing and hit our asking price. They did well to get him really, similar with Lewis Hall on the other side - they've spent money, but they've been quite clever with it.
