VAR check on the former. wiki lists him variously as Tajik, Ukrainian and Soviet Union and he was here across the period when the USSR collapsed.

We've had 15 French players, 10 Dutch, 7 Norwegian, 7 Polish & 6 Portuguese but only 3 from Belgium. This link lists them all:

There should be more from Spain. Such a shame that we let Sabino Barinaga go. The club's history could have been so different, as with his goals, especially at the end of the 1948/49 season, we'd have been promoted to the top flight in the 1940s.
