saint lard Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 There seems to be an awful lot of people mentioning his name at this time. Is he seriously considered do you think,or is this just rumour mongering? Perhaps even wishful thinking...in hindsight? Where are you Dalek?,actually dont bother answering that.
Colinjb Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 He is far too busy with his academy in Spain, he has moved beyond management and is now managing missplaced young talent with Graham Rix.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Lowe and Hoddle are not buddies.... break the myth.
rooney Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 He would want more money than we can afford. A Thousand times more than Pearson wanted!
Mole Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Please god NO. That slimeball wouldn't pick Le Tissier for England to get his own back for Le Tissier not signing for his chelsea team. He has no place at Saints.
NickG Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 nothing substantial, just people wishing for a bigger names I guess. Was on radio yesterday talking at length about his current project, only other thing he spoke about was situation at spurs
thorpie the sinner Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 nothing substantial, just people wishing for a bigger names I guess. Was on radio yesterday talking at length about his current project, only other thing he spoke about was situation at spurs This would never happen, and why would we want it, we have both moved on!! In the Managers poll list, there are some names who are hungry and would do a cracking job!! I think Saints are hoping beyond hope that 'Wotte the hell is going on and why am I here?' is going to pull off a couple of wins and steady the ship!! Defeat against norwich and Swansea could change all that, esp with the protests planned for the swans game!!
Cunning Stunt Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 He said on a recent TV interview that he's had 8 or 9 offers to return, and turned them all down. If RL was to somehow incorporate GH’s academy and split the revenue generated then it could be good for both parties. Thing is there would need to be a extremely good exit strategy given both RL / GH records.
solentstars Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 would like him back but we could not afford him,i think we got wotte has manager.

Dalek2003 Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 The name of Hoddle has been linked with SFC for many years now. A sizeable amount of fans realise that the failure to appoint Hoddle in 2004 was the beginning of a series of events that led to ur decline. Many of the fans have msigivings over this whole sorry episdoe and recognise that Hoddle has many of the qualities needed to turn this club around. There are many that can see this and are willing to welcome hoddle back to SMS. Hoddle enjoyed being at SFC and still has many admirers who hold influential positions in the club. The return of hoddle is very likey, as Hoddle has something to prove as well.
John B Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Unfortunately a lot of stuff written on here is complete fantasy so I usually reject it out of hand. Lots of conspiracy stories which do not seem to meet the facts of the current SFC situation However sometimes one of these fantasies may well come off.

He'd be seen as a Lowe stooge, there are too many fans who would sadly will him on to fail as they will never forgive him for deserting, he doesnt have anything to prove here. Divisive and more chance of failing than succeeding. And frankly there's better unemployed managers out there.
