I probably shouldn’t be quite as confident as I am, but I still remember sitting there til the final whistle of that Leicester game with both Vestergaard and Hojbjerg in the team.

I know what you mean - player for player I don't think there is a Denmark player you'd have in the England team, maybe not even the bench, the exception being the goalkeeper who is excellent. All that being said I am still nervous as hell!

Tbf, when he tells Vestergaard to “do your thing” he may have his Autumn-2018-form in mind.

If, like Trousers suggests, he may be a bitter sweatie, then let’s hope he spunks another £50 on a Danish shirt to go with the recent Ukraine and German poor purchases.

Fook, we win this tonight and sales of Italian shirts will go off the scale north of Hadrian’s Wall. Mike Ashley will be happy.

KS is a very competent, but not exceptional keeper. I'm not sure I would have him over Pickford on current form.

Its not arrogant or presumptuous to think we should win tonight - as people have said player-for-player we are significantly ahead.

But obviously it does not work like that and a sending off or an early goal or a complete fuck up and we're out.

The difference this time is in previous disasters it has quite often been a lack of coherence or a mental weakness that does us in. Right now I can't see either being an issue.

Vestergaard do your thing: marshal the defence of a team that usually loses football matches. He's, like, so good at that.

Yesterdays game was terrible to watch one team not interested in playing and another with only one idea to beat them.

The highlight as mentioned before is the Italian assistant manager he reminds me of someone wearing those glasses with the fake nose and moustache attached. But also in an expensive designer suit.

I think we win today and edge Italy in the final. Italy looked nothing special against Austria and only just beat Spain. Against Belgium they looked like a proper team, will be interesting to see which version of Italy turns up.

Well, I for one thought it was a fascinating game. Just as in most tournaments, Italy have a knack of doing enough to progress, and Mancini is a serial winner. I thought both sides last night were a cut above anyone else we have seen at the Euros.

It’s about this stage of the tournament we were assured by some the omission of JWP would come home to roost. Looks like tonight the wheels will come off.

All these super confident point scoring posters look a little nervous and one or two getting all prissy over a tweet..

We should win and most likely will, just calm down everyone.

What’s all this “we”? you don’t care and has given up

So glad i have used the ignore feature widely as no doubt " the gang of loons" will be out in force belittling the ones they are obsessed about .

2 nil England tonight, Sterling with both.

Will be much, much tougher on Sunday though.
