23, ball playing centre-back, English, International, with a season of good performances in the PL under his belt and probably under a long contract.  Kind of player that screams £50 million plus to me.

Would be a good signing for them - the sort we could have been making if we had got our business right over the last few seasons like Leicester have.

Wonder where that leaves them with Edouard? Can't see them signing him as well as Daka, with Ihenacho, Perez and Vardy still around too. Maybe we still have a chance there?

Daka looks ok but coming from Austria it will be a step up for him. Last Zambian we bought up front was proper wank 😄

The last African forward we bought in from Salzburg didnt do too badly though.. 😉

Still not fully clear here, either;

Really hope we do in regards to Edouard :)

Can't help but laugh at Spurs.

Rejected by so many managers and now Fonseca has fallen through.

Gattuso will certainly be an entertaining addition to the Premier League if it happens 😂

It’s brilliant isn’t it 😆

Gatusso is a car crash waiting to happen, I’d be amazed if they kept Kane after appointing him, also be great for them to sound that Kane money too, although to be fair Levy has been pretty shrewd on transfers.

If a club matches Spurs’ valuation of Kane (that’s a big if) he’s going to be off in a flash. Everything so far this summer will have convinced him that he’s better off elsewhere.

Proper fucking bantz on the spurs forum.

They've failed:

Mourinho (probably walked most likely)
Poch (again)
Conte
Fonseca

Gattuso pending.

And they reckon they've got a chance for Mancini after the Euro's.

Proper Banter.

Shame that, he looked like a big waste of money. I bet they will now go for Edouard now it seems Leicester are getting Daka instead, who imo is a much better buy.

The Athletic are reporting Daka's demands are lower than Edouard's.

They also say Daka would cost £23m.  (I assume rising to £30m).

If Ings goes I'd quite like Edouard here, not sure if more than Adam Armstrong though

Gutted and intrigued to see what he can do as Leicester don't play the same way as RB salzburg, would be nice to add his mate Enock Mwepu to our squad (armstrong type role) but our left side needs most work.

@FabrizioRomano

Patson Daka is set to join Leicester, done deal. The official proposal has been accepted by RB Salzburg board today and #LCFC are planning to announce the new signing next week

Now no longer interested in Gattuso. Options are reducing. I'm gonna put a few shekels on Martinez. Wouldn't rule out Nuno either.

Spurs fans have now dropped their expectations from the latest pipe dream of Mancini after the Euro's and they're now settling for Eddie Howe on their forum.

They've gone from Conte is a cunt because he's dissed them a few years ago.

Poch isn't good enough for them.

Fonseca isn't a big enough name.

Gattuso is below them

To currently, ok then yeah Eddie Howe.

In about the last 12 hours. 😅

So that is still Palace, Spurs and Everton without a manager.

Palace fans have to be bricking it surely, no manager and half the squad out of contract to sort out in like 2 months before the season.

Hilarious what's happening at Spurs. Levy is such a poor chairman.

Where have all the good managers gone? I suppose in the past a lot of clubs would be resorting to the Pardew/Allardyce etc merry-go-round so it hasn't ever been easy.

I'm quite glad we're not looking at the moment but there must be talent out there. I suppose part of the problem is that people like Conte haven't accepted that football is in a bit of a recession and can't spend megabucks

What do we think then Eddie Howe...?.........

Thing is, there's no way Howe takes that job without a great big hoofwanking sack payoff clause in it, which he won't get from Levy.

I suspect that's why they can't get a manager in that's prepared to take the job without one.

Bagpuss is out of a job. He single handedly took them to the Champions League before, has never been relegated and spotted Ronaldo and Messi as embryos but the chairman refused to sign them.

Everton forums adding to the entertainment.

I used to quite like them but the Koeman stuff and rabid "WARCHEST" posturing changed my mind. Like Spurs they started wanting a high profile appointment but as Benitez looked more likely they really, really, really would like that nice Mr Howe to give then a call.

He's running the club the same way Boris runs the country - leak ideas to the press, gauge the reaction of the public, then change the plan if they don't like it.

Bring back Tim Sherwood..?

He'd be better of gauging the reaction of the prospective managers before making their names public! It's all highly amusing though and takes our mind off our own desperate signing attempts.

If you look at the managers Levy has hired over the years, there's some real stinkers. It's like he's throwing a dart blindfolded and then it's pure luck when he hits the target

Daniel Levy had a BMW as manager and sacked it off for a big expensive Rolls Royce, which then became a liability, and due to cost of repairs is stuck with the likelihood of getting either a Fiat or a Ford Focus.

Great signing for Leicester. Was hoping we would make a move for him, not that we would have been an realiatic option with the other teams interested. They now have Vardy, Iheancho, Daka and Perez - with the likes of Maddison, Tielemans and Barnes feeding them.

Theres bound to be another player we could steal from RB Salzburg. They bring through some great talent

We should look to bring in their Head of Recruitment, although unlikely to be interested as RB Salzburg invariably is on the career path to Leipzig who probably operate on a better budget than we do.

Six new players already for Watford.

There’s always a team or two that over-buys and struggles.
