This. Such a shame we have so little cash. Having 2 GKs who are not that good can really ruin games where we play well enough to win/draw and they don’t make the routine saves (or make glaring errors).

I think we've looked ok in possession through the middle, and the back 4 have been fairly composed.

But the attack is just horrific, as predicted as it would be. There's just nothing there, midfielders haven't got anyone to play in, they're static up top. Moussa is just not even doing anything.

This is concerning. I don’t see the logic in playing this last warm up game with Long and Obafemi up top. It would have been nice to have a bit of momentum going into the Everton game. Perhaps the extra rest for Telly and Adams will help. Who knows?

Perhaps the most damning indictment of our academy - and especially the goalkeeper coaches - is the fact that we've been unable to develop a youngster to challenge Forster and McCarthy. This is basic position-specific coaching, not rocket science.

Maybe not, had had results  been poorer it probably would have increased the urgency to strengthen, given the strategy seems to be just do enough not to get relegated
