In retrospect maybe Ings should have got the first 45 and Adams the second. Crowd were always going to pump us up and would have been better to have a lethal striker on then and not now while we are fizzling out.

McCarthy bottled that. Horrendous. He’s got to get to that. Soft as shite, right through the side.

Agree. McCarthy in a nutshell tonight, great save from a long shot then piss weak giveaway.

The line drawing that they did to us, they just kept fucking drawing lines until it said we were off. The Bamford one was close, I assume they measured it, but why are they no longer showing it?

83 minutes and no shots on target......

he focus will be on McCarthy error, but how many errors are outfield players making? Countless is the answer.

VAR is just match fixing by the back door.

Strange the the VAR ignored a penalty that nobody would really have argued about,  and then gave an “offside” goal. What sort of match fixer does that?

Yup agreed. Bad, bad goalkeeping. It's my fault for saying he's our clear number one before the game.

Someone that bet on Bamford scoring but not from a penalty...? ;)

I think the club have to cut their losses on Djenepo in the summer. He is nowhere good enough for this level.

He doesn't seem to have a clue what to do.

Sadly true. He’s on long wave while rest are on FM (not digital, mind)

An error is one thing, bottling it quite another.

Not sure he bottled it, just misjudged the situation.

Not good whatever way you look at it. No way should anyone score from there.

Just read on the BBC site:

  1. 89'

    Post update

Attempt missed. Nathan Redmond (Southampton) right footed shot from outside the box is too high. Assisted by James Ward-Prowse.

  2. 89'

    Post update

Attempt missed. Nathan Redmond (Southampton) left footed shot from the right side of the box is close, but misses to the right. Assisted by Stuart Armstrong.

Redmond is at least consistent.

Must be a reworking of the old Lallana/Tadic song there
