DG Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 (edited) Walcott did a thing! (With a little help of a deflection, but still). Edited 15 May, 2021 by DG 1
Saint_clark Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Walcott! Lucky with the finish but we'll take it. Great assist from Tella.
stknowle Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 GET IN. Nice touch by Tella. Definitely a player there.

Saint_clark Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Sell Redmond, Tella should be first choice from opening day next season. 4
Mr X Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 (edited) Wow he actually does know where the goal is! 🤦♂️😂 Edited 15 May, 2021 by Mr X
OttawaSaint Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Tella assist and then nearly fashions a second goal.

Saint_clark Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 FUCKING HELL REDMOND WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING??????

Bushey Saint Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Tella returns the favour to Theo after he scores, by giving a big hug 🤣 Seriously though, that was a classy layoff by Tella to set Theo up. 1
VictiAbNonem Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Adams, Tella and Walcott almost telepathic there. Maybe Tella-pathic?! 3 3
OttawaSaint Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Yesss Redmond! In perfect position to thwart an attack and pass back to Alex. Maybe that’s his position, CB!!! 1 1

Saint_clark Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Diallo anonymous since coming on, forgot he was playing. 1
stknowle Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Is there a song for Tella yet? A Tella Tella Tella Ooh, Tell me more, tell me more etc etc................................................No? Ok then. 1

Watch it again and keep your eye on Stephens and carvalho, ignore the ball. Remind me who plays on the left side of our cbs (in a zonal system)? Wasn't Stephens man in the first place - not saying he was faultless, but vest deserves more of the blame.
Ashby Saint Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Walker-Peters is often too far forward to get back. Like playing a back 4 but with one missing rather than a back 3. 1

Vestergaard marked his man and he didn't score. 1

Armstrong was a defensive midfielder in this game too, he covered the exposed right back position regularly which Diallo completely failed to do there in Fulham's last attack.
Saint_clark Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Ethan tells a story about talking to an unnamed chairman of a similar sized club to saints who said that we're the "yardstick" for how they want to develop themselves. My immediate thought was surely Leicester should be but their progress I guess is skewed by the premier league win.
Saint_Tony Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Great performance from Tella, lovely attacking move for that goal. Nice to see us playing a bit better now the pressure is off
Sunglasses Ron Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 (edited) Well isn’t this just darn nice, two wins in succession and mid-table obscurity. I’ll take that thank you! Edited 15 May, 2021 by Sunglasses Ron

Lighthouse Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Good old fashioned 3-1. Lambert, Lallana and Hammond on the scoresheet. 3

Saints are a good model but need a bit more investment. 1

jemanson Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Stephens very good today and Salisu very solid. Not the most threatening opposition, but both look good in this formation. Adams and Tella also did well. 1

Baird of the land Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 Annoying to lose the clean sheet but it was a quality finish by their kid. Lovely to see Tella get off the mark. Made a real difference when he came on. Thought Redmond was our poorest player today. 1

I'm not sure they've had more investment than us, but the money they received from Maguire was spent much more wisely than the money we received from Van Dijk. 1

Lord Duckhunter Posted 15 May, 2021 Posted 15 May, 2021 I like Armstrong central. Look at the second goal, he drives forward with the ball. OR or Prowse would have just passed it there. 1
