OttawaSaint Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Another fluffed pass by Taki. He’s just not on it tonight. 1
nta786 Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Zaha is a class A p**ck. Making your eyes bigger doesn’t make you any scarier 2
stknowle Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 (edited) Why is it we only ever get niggly when Zaha is on the pitch? Edited 12 May, 2021 by stknowle I fucking said niggly in the first place. 1

macca155 Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Big difference in this game is that energy levels have been sustained. Good performance on the whole. In the context of recent performances, very welcome.

igsey Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 I'd like to take full credit for this win by captaining Zaha in FPL this week! 1

obelisk Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Saints comfortable in the end but without Ings' finishing it could have been more frustration. 2

OttawaSaint Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Enjoyed that, we should try this “winning” thing more often.
The Cat Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Nice win that. Good to see us coming from behind, weather a bit a of a storm and come out the other side with what ended up being quite a comfortable win. 1
BotleySaint Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Hopefully with Obafemi back, that'll be the last we see of Dan Nlundulu. Never seen such an ineffective, slow player. 1 1
DT Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Good result. Well done Forster, Salisu, Ings mainly. Che had a good game. Stephens not too bad. Armstrong excellent. Minamino absent. Redmond a bit wasteful. Table looks a LOT better.

igsey Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Feels good to win a game! Table looking much more comfortable too, especially now we're on the same number of games played as the rest.
Saints foreva Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Well done boys. A good reaction after the poor start. Managed the game well after getting our 3rd goal.

He's young too...he's one more year, so we will need to see progression for him to ge a new deal.
DG Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Pleasantly surprised after the dreadful start, another coming from behind to win victory. Curious to see who the club have lined up if Ings does go.
Lighthouse Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Well, that was an actual comfortable, professional performance in the end. Forget a new owner, manager, head of recruitment, ‘keeper, striker and LB. I’d forgo all of them for a decent psychologist/hypnotists who can get their flippin’ heads straight and play like that more often than not.

Jimmy_D Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 40 Points! I think we're probably safe now. Always feels good to get a win despite cheating antics from the opposition, played well and the third goal properly killed the game off. It's a shame we had such a bad run the latter half of the season, our start had given us the chance to do something special, but at least it feels like we can properly start looking to next season now.

Danbert Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Redmond, Adams, JWP and Ings were excellent Bednarek Stephens and Vestergaard were poor - lots of unforced errors. Obafemi looked dangerous and Salisu dependable.
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Very good win against a well drilled and organised team. Thought Palace were a bit niggly and it was good to see us stand up to a team like that for a change. 1

Forester Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Possibility of 11th but 12th more realistic. Be good to go into summer with some form and positivity. Helps with recruitment and retention. 1

Manuel Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Usual praise for Walker-Peters, Prowse, Ings. Adams also quality today. Redmond good. Salisu good. Vest good. We should look to improve on Minamino and I don't think Theo is the answer. 1

doggface Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 Half asleep at the start but thank god for ings. Prey we can keep him. good response and more balls shown 1
macca155 Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 A good win but Palace have been on a similar run to Saints. They managed to beat the bottom three, which has given them security. I wouldn't be surprised if Palace are fighting with Saints to avoid the drop next year. Just keep Ings for another year, and then wish him well. He'll keep us in the EPL so worth it.

So pay Ings whatever Ings wants. A £20,000 release clause is nothing. He is easily worth two players to our squad alone ,one on the pitch and also off it. Keep Insy and build a new squad around him, JWP, Armstrong, Salisu and Romey. Yeah.

Teddeer Posted 11 May, 2021 Posted 11 May, 2021 (edited) Thought we looked a much more compact side with Salisu on for Bednarek. His positional sense is so much better and he is far superior on the ball. Not sure how Minamino stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes. Overall a much improved performance and we shifted the ball around with good intent and purpose. Great move for Danny's second goal and Che's finish was very tidy and his assist for the 3rd goal was superb. Fraser did well and his penalty save was crucial as it would have been hard for us if Palace had gone in front again. Aside from Minamino I think everyone played well although Stevens had one of his customary brain farts but, in fairness, he did recover to make amends. Edited 11 May, 2021 by Teddeer 5 1
