Today's result is the difference between a 50+ mill striker and and a 15 mill one.

We deserve a point

Disagree. Many strikers in our bracket would have scored one or 2 of the chances Che has had.

Adams may well be a limited striker but until we’re willing and able to spend more than £15m on one, whilst our mid-table rivals are all spending £25m+, that’s what we’re going to get.

Anyway, daft from KWP playing himself into trouble there.

Well that goal came from KWP losing the ball. Don't blame him he's been given a right kicking. Diallo should have supported him. Romeu wouldn't have had that.

Harsh on us

very. KWP tried to play it out from the back, but just wasn't the space to do it. Not sure we have created enough despite being the better side second half

Is it just Saints that do this? I watch a fair few other matches and other teams really go for it when trailing late on, throwing everything forward.

We just slowly pass it around a bit and don’t attack.

We didn't deserve that 2nd goal. Lots of positives from this game, and Liverpool didn't look good because we didn't let them.

Not all 15m strikers scuff the ball as badly has he does. He's got the technique of a 5m striker, though his hold up play is good.

Liverpool haven't even had to play well

Most teams don't have to when they play us.

That goal comes from Saints fannying around instead of going for an equaliser.

you mean being overly brave, trying at all costs to keep the ball and not to just hoof it aimlessly that ends up turning over possesssion and means we have to chase after it for five minutes?

Couldn’t blame any of our better players for going. Club in free fall, we’re happy with getting beaten because we weren’t tonked. Says it all

Who is happy you muppet, only Heisenberg and SKD and they dont count.

Liverpool played like a team that knew they didn't need a second goal. Saints played like a team that forgot the reason why they were on the pitch.

Clutching a bit there I think. First home clean sheet in a long and 2nd home Win for something like 10 Games.

Theyre a poor team this season.

You can never score by passing the ball backwards and forwards across the back line.

We created chances, didn't take them. Ho hum. Play like that in our next two games and we get 6 points.

I am beginning to think we need to do better than Adams. I like him, I just think he's a confidence player and he's not in good form.

Saints looked to be content to get away with a non-heavy defeat in the 2nd half. Even so, with a decent composed striker could have got something from that.

Did anybody expect anything different?

Yes. I expected us to lose 4-1 but we actually did ok. The team lost but we didn't deserve it and performances have improved. Now we need to do it against a team closer to us in quality Tuesday night.

No, expected worse, but seeing Liverpool being soo poor and us having so many chances to take something it leaves a bitter taste.
