The one that literally says on the screen under the warnings UK Met Office - ie the people who issue the warnings in yellow amber and red categories you cataclysmically dim fuck.

If you don't want the notifications then switch them off. I or a baby baboon can show you how to do that too.

That's a moot point though. People like logistics companies, airports, ferry companies etc want to know about every possible eventuality whilst some people just want to know if the roof is going to be ripped off. The fact that some people deliberately choose to get notifications and then compain about them is bizarre.

Unsure why that winds you up so much. the Met could give any colour of Warning and Apple do with that what they like.

If you can't grasp that, maybe stick to one of the other many specialised topics you have up your sleeve.

I've made the key words BIGGER as you have a habit of missing most points.  Lots of if, maybe, possibly etc.  I can assure you that your 90 year old father living alone would have been absolutely fine today.  The weather we had (seems to have passed now with blue skies and a bit of sunshine), was NO WORSE than any January or February rainy day (7mm rain today v 16mm on a rainy day in January!). Zero thunderstorms as usual - the last 'galactic' thunderstorm that was predicted yielded two rumbles in the distance.

The point is not that the MET office is issuing warnings, it's that it feels it has to cover pretty much every eventuality with a possibly or a maybe so that IF something happens no one can blame them. 

That language is then interpreted by other media outlets as definitely going to happen and we're all going to die!  It's akin to the Express and their constant headlines such as 'UK set to freeze for the next week' because the temperature is forecast to be -1 in the isle of Skye or somewhere.  It's clickbait for the hard of thinking.  No wonder you lap it up  

I guess you're in 'another country' on holiday with fuck all better to do than look at mong boards!  You can thank me later for providing such a public service for you, as without my post about the weather warning in North Somerset, doubtless you would have been oblivious and continued to ignore your vulnerable, lonely father

Totally. Reduce it to 1 billion and pretty much everybody can drive massive V8s eat lobster as much as you like and park in central London. Trouble is we cant agree with other countries about paperwork on carrots so Im thinking agreeing which 7 out of 8 of us has to top ourselves will be problematic

This is the Mer de Glace on Mont Blanc.  We keep getting told glaciers are disapearing as if it's something that has only started happening recently. This would suggest they've been melting since around 1820, just before the end of the Little Ice Age. How much of this warming is due to us and how much is natural would be pretty hard to tell.
