I have absolutely no expectations of getting anything out of the game having seen that lineup. They were already minimal, but now I just despair. What is he thinking? Stephens was awful at LB when he played there before. Salisu's not perfect, but so much better than Jack! Also, when Theo started we looked so much more threatening. Why's he not starting today?

Have we fielded a worse 11 for a league game since our second season back in the league?

Which means a nailed-on Saints win.

Same old baffling starting XI from Ralph. 4 attacking midfielders + JWP in the middle so watch us get totally overran.

May as well only name 4 subs as 5 of them won't get on even if we got desperate

Because Ralph's lost the plot

I had the same thought when I saw that line up, going to be painful viewing.

It's hard not too feel jealous of Leicester, they had their 5000/1 title win,  their fans now buzzing top 4 finish and a FA Cup final, we're celebrating the 45 year anniversary of the boys of '76 tomorrow

So two different sites suggesting two different formations - both look equally like square pegs in round holes.

I’m becoming ready to hide behind my sofa but regardless of duties I just have to make time to watch.

Come on Saints do ya best and surprise me

Oh dear. Ralph’s finally cracked and gone full circle mad. He is the definition of “let’s try the same thing and expect different results” by bringing Stephens back, but to play him at LB is truly stunning. And Redmond in attack.

My prediction for this game? Another horrible loss, horrible performance, by largely horrible players, playing a horrible system that only Ralph understands. We will lose...probably lose by a large margin. 0-4.

But I’ll still watch the debacle from start to finish in the vain hope that by some miracle we’ll steal a point.

Do you realise you have stated lets try the same thing different results and said he is bringing a player back into the team who hasn’t played for a while in a different position.

Are you aware that whilst it may not work, it is trying something different, and isn’t actually the same.

If you get behind the team, you may actually feel better.

Not sure there is a huge amount wrong with the team. Swap Stephens for Salisu, and Minamino for Djenepo for me, but can’t argue with much else.

If Diallo was picked at CM, fans would be going mad that Armstrong was decent there. He’s not going to change the system.

Fingers and toes well and truly crossed.

Also why Minimano. We aren't buying him, he hasn't shone that much.

I guess he can at least score and will occupy their defence a little.

Because I expressed my preference and Ralph listened, that’s how it works. I don’t like to pull rank too often as he will become over reliant on me.

For us, that is not a large margin.  In fact losing by only 4 is quite respectable for this lot.  Man we're crap.

Right positives, Stephens will at least go down fighting and will give a damm.

Redmond Armstrong and Minimano in midfield is a seriously attacking lineup so should give Leicester something to worry about.

They'll be seriously pissed if they don't win this.

Completely agree about Stephens, he always gives his all

Is it three at the back or four? I can't figure it out from the lineup.

I can't see this being a great game, I hope I'm wrong but it'll be a one goal bore match...

Very strange looking line-up and can't believe Salisu can't get into that feeble starting eleven. Go on Ralph, prove us all wrong - not holding my breath,

Anyone think it might be Redmond at left wing back and a 352?

Still begs the question why Salisu isn't getting match time though.

Me neither. I'm guessing it's either a 4 with Stephens at LB where Castagne will destroy him, or a 3 with someone (Redmond?!?) at left wing back.

Yep, I think it's a possibility.

Gulp.

I did wonder is KWP will go to LB.

With Stephens at RB? Makes more sense than Stephens at LB. That's assuming it's a 4.

Thinking about the 9-0, Bertrand shouldn't have been sent off. You can't play advantage and subsequently give a red card unless it was a clear goal scoring opportunity. Therefore, seeing as Leicester went on to score but it wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity when Bertrand committed the foul, VAR shouldn't have got involved.

Well we will see in 5 mins, and I'd be amazed if we changed formation.

Looking at the sky coverage, Jack is LB, which is weird as Salisu did well last time.

At least I've got another bottle of whiskey ready for the 2nd half, if needed like last time.

If we were doing a drinking game for taking a shot for every time the 9-0 has been me mentioned...

I think I’d need my stomach pumping by now and the game hasn’t even started.

Not sure Ralph has a clue anymore. Is he just picking the ones that are nice to him?

Like that scene from Anchorman. "Ralph are you just naming squad players you can see in the room?"

It'd at least give us a bit of height up front.

Well he does go on scoring streak, he may be the new Che Adams. Although I've always preferred his sister, Sweet Fanny.

Serious foul play, not denial of a goal scoring opportunity.
