Was a bit of class from 2 players who are way above the ability of Burnley’s. You think they would have conceded our second?

Wish we were Burnley, showing everyone how it’s done on...*looks at table* 33 points!

Until that goal this was not looking like a good day:

1. I am hating every moment of this biased commentary from Efan Ekoku. I have heard some biased commentary before, but this takes the biscuit.

2. I can't believe the ridiculous refereeing decisions - that was not a penalty and should have been our free kick and then just before their secoind goal they were given a throw in that should have been ours.

3. Every ricochet in their area seemed to be falling to a Burnley player.

However, we are now back in it with that goal, so let's see us go on to equalise and then go on to win this game.

1. 😂😂

2. 😂😂

3. that’s because they want it more than us. They’re giving the extra 1% to get to those balls.

Exactly the start you don’t want against this lot. A perfect excuse to sit back and watch us huff and puff without mustering a shot no doubt.

Gifted a way back in by Pope despite the good contact by Armstrong, compensated for Fraser’s inability to save Vydra’s also decent shot at the other end. Stu and Danny have looked the only PL quality Saints so far, JWP not fully fit. Bednarek has been dreadful today. KWP might be happier with Pieters off. Getting a bit more joy being direct.

These aerial crosses are pointless. We should be looking for one two combinations down the flank and then quick balls along the ground either in behind or pulled back to the edge of the box.

What are you going on about you freak. Regardless of the table, Burnley are much better than us defensively. The only reason we’re ahead of them is because we have better attacking players.

Surprised no one claimed he was fouled

Yeah, obviously there wasn’t anything controversial about the penalty

Why on earth would Efan Ekoku be biased for Burnley against Southampton? I doubt he gives a fuck who wins and is actually a knowledgable summariser.

Back in it, but it's crazy how many goals we're conceding this season 👎 If defending from the front (constant pressing) isn't an option/isn't working, we clearly don't have a back-up system/individual players who have the right skill sets to defend in this league.

Looking a lot better going forward. A shame it takes 2 goals to give us the kick up the arse we need.

The commentary clearly said the referee was checking on the challenge, whilst the VAR watched the build up. VAR obviously decided it wasn’t a foul, so didn’t ask the on field referee to look at it. He only looked at the incident where var thought an error was made. It’s not a conspiracy

If only we could defend.

One noticeable change is we are definitely passing it less sideways and looking for a forward pass more. Still passing it back a fair bit but we have a tad more urgency.

It’s not for VAR to decide that. If they show the final contact they should also show the build up.
