hypochondriac Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Says nothing IMO http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11263
benjii Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Penultimate paragraph is interesting IMO (first half thereof).
Sheff Saint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Wilde being bought out for this one, Rupert still away. Both this and the club statement suggests, reading between the lines, that the resignation was welcome. Not sure that means a lot. Thought we were saying nothing further til Monday? Joke.
Give it to Ron Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Continuity...absolutely fcking unbelievable.....how the fck can you talk about continuity at Southampton!!! You want to continue with this shambles of a management 1 win in 14 yeah lets continue doing the same things!
Sheff Saint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Continuity...absolutely fcking unbelievable.....how the fck can you talk about continuity at Southampton!!! You want to continue with this shambles of a management 1 win in 14 yeah lets continue doing the same things! Yeah! Fair point. In one paragraph they highlight the fact we're **** and in the other they are painting it as if we were desperate to keep hold of JP due to all the good work he had done before being lured to Real Madrid. Continuity IS NOT required here. Thanks.
musesaint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Says nothing IMO http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11263 Indeed ...another load of shi*te Now we know why kelvin was wheeled out to "plead" for unity on the OS this morning I can see Rupert now planning how to manage the "lunatic fringe" (AKA the fan base)
St Landrew Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Absolutely nauseous Couldn't find the right words. These are perfect.
Badger Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 I doubt Wilde is even aware such a statement was issued.Least of all in his name.
Master Bates Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 It says we're getting Arturo Lupoli, I mean trying to get a striker.
hypochondriac Posted 23 January, 2009 Author Posted 23 January, 2009 The bit about continuity is very funny. We are playing terribly, what part should we be looking to continue?
LostBoys Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 What a load of rubbish. We are going to regret delaying and not getting Billy Davis or another experienced manager.
Mr X Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 anyone notice the careers advice ad under the statement? kinda ironic
ottery st mary Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Wildey the football chairman speaks at last......Lowey allows this..... What a mess you are now allowed to speak Mr Wilde and when you do what nonsense you put out. Mr Wilde, you and your friend Mr Lowe deserve each other....Southampton Football Club does NOT deserve either of you......Now was your chance to rid us all of Lowe and all you do is come on the news front as a mouthpiece for Lowe and move a few pawns around......SHIP OUT MATEY......You have not one ounce of sense between you.
docker-p Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Rarely has so much meaningless drivel been put together into one statement.
saint lard Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Says nothing IMO http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11263 "We have considered making changes, but for the time being" Wotte is not long term.
John B Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 (edited) Absolutely nauseous Seems a standard sort of statement to me sorry but I dont bother with the personalities just want SFC to continue. Perhaps Crouch put out a similar one last year when Pearson joined I cannot remember Why anyone would run a football club these days amazes me with all the abuse perhaps that is why nobody wants to get involved Things could be better if we keep Saga and get another striker thats all that matters to me. Slag off the Board if you want but as was said it is on the pitch where it matters someday Wilde and Lowe will be gone Edited 23 January, 2009 by John B
rocknrollman no2 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 rarely has so much meaningless drivel been put together into one statement. lol!!!!!!
Tamesaint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Anyone would think that he was sacked after reading this statement. Oh I forgot, he resigned didn't he.
benjii Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Love the fact that Wotte's profile on the OS has all the same crap about amazing Dutch football that they've already tried to ram down our throats.
CanadaSaint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 (edited) ... we all sink or swim by reference to the scoreboard (Underlined for emphasis) Oh, really? When did that start? Never in the field of professional football has so much been f*cked up by so few with such little consequence. Reference to the scoreboard, my arse. Edited 23 January, 2009 by CanadaSaint Typo
benjii Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Is that an admission that Rupert needs to look at the scoreboard to figure out what the score is?
Give it to Ron Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Seems a standard sort of statement to me sorry but I dont bother with the personalities just want SFC to continue. Slag off the Board if you want but as was said it is on the pitch where it matters The 2 are not separate though John are they......we have management that have overseen 1 win in 14 and they come out with continuity. I hope the striker is better than Roberton, Peckhart, Gasmi, Pulis and Forecast signings.
um pahars Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Slag off the Board if you want but as was said it is on the pitch where it matters Doh:rolleyes::rolleyes::smt104 And as today's events clearly show, the manager has a major impact on what goes on on the pitch. And the appointment and retention of the manager is down to the CEO and the Board.
Amesbury Saint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 "We have considered making changes, but for the time being" Wotte is not long term. Agreed - Wotte is just a cheap stop gap whilst ownership of the club is sorted Plus there is the small matter of season ticket renewals coming up.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 It says we're getting Arturo Lupoli, I mean trying to get a striker. Is this tongue in cheek look at a rumour which hasn't (yet) happened or is he the mystery striker Judas aluded to?
Master Bates Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Is this tongue in cheek look at a rumour which hasn't (yet) happened or is he the mystery striker Judas aluded to? I was taking the pee out of me innit, i'm a mad shark, RAAAAAAAAH! http://94.102.148.26/forum/showthread.php?t=8183&highlight=arturo+lupoli Although I reckon it's between him & Dos Santos.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 What a load of rubbish. We are going to regret delaying and not getting Billy Davis or another experienced manager. We have been regretting it for most of the season...
ottery st mary Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Our new striker who has scored many times this last two years is Matt Stevens from Bath and England (prop)
Badger Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Our new striker who has scored many times this last two years is Matt Stevens from Bath and England (prop) Please don't be a dickhead, and try to cross the divide between these two sports. Only Rupert is allowed to do that.

Nothing better than news of signing a new striker to "boost morale". Especially at such a difficult time with fan protests and the manager walking out. If I was a cynic I'd suggest that we're announcing a possible signing, without naming anyone, and then, at the last minute, it all falls apart and nothing comes to fruition. At least we tried, though, right?

Under Weststand Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Continuity Does the Idiot know the meaning of the word? so he wants us to continue losing for the rest of the season. Did he really write this himself or did he just read from a script. I shouldn't be surprised but the gall of the board is just unbelievable. As the saying goes:- you may fool some of the people all of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. This was there 1-final chance to sort this mess out have they just dropped the ball for the last time. I so hope not for the sake of SFC. Its like watching a slow car crash when you know what's going to happen & are powerless to prevent it.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 I'm off to bed now - but I have just had an interesting conversation re Wilde and will post tomorrow. Apologies but when I post I would rather do it with a clear head. Suffice to say this bloke is an absolute disgrace... not only to SFC but mankind.

Saw on the Echo site someone was claiming that he was at Staplewood this afternoon.
ottery st mary Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Please don't be a dickhead, and try to cross the divide between these two sports. Only Rupert is allowed to do that. Does Matt Stevens score in Hockey as well?
cellone Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 I was suprised to read a statement by Mr. Wilde, untill I saw the phrase "I have always said" and realised these aren't his words. That said the statment is a mix of what I would like and expect to hear. I also put it to the ghost writer to appoint a decent manager or naff off.
offix Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Continuity? Does he mean continually heading for league 1 with performances that are continually and consistently horrible? Any bets that this is a Ru**rt drawn statement published under the Quisling's name? Disgrace, nauseous, spineless, traitor ... these are all words that spring instantly, and continuously, to mind when I see that weasel's name.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 (edited) Says nothing IMO http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11263 Mike. Rubbish. You know it's rubbish, we know it's rubbish... You can change this and fight or can be a weak incipid little Lowe follower... I suggest you reassess... we're not happy. YOUR REPUTATION AND YOUR CHILDRENS IS FOREVER ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED .... OR MADE. Southampton is like an elephant.... it never forgets. Edited 24 January, 2009 by SaintRobbie

I suggest you reassess... we're not happy. YOUR REPUTATION AND YOUR CHILDRENS IS FOREVER ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED .... OR MADE. Southampton is like an elephant.... it never forgets. And it ****s on Blue Peter. But dies when you give it acid.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Far too late for that. He's DIRT! No it's not offix. He has the cards, he can play them or let another man who may win but not share the pot with him play them. Cards are the best analogy for Mike right now. He can lose and apologise and deal again... he can hand them to someone else to play for him who may have the popular vote .... or he can fold and find a new winner. Mike. Hand them over to the man we all trust. Never let LOWE buy this admistration bound football club. We all love it too much and have done for generations. Please, trust your intuition... Lowe is killing whats left of something very special. I still think you're a decent man. Please... be strong. Make the RIGHT decision. Give us our club back.
Deppo Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 And it ****s on Blue Peter. But dies when you give it acid. Although those scientists admit they ****ed up the dose.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 One more thing Mike... if you're decent enough you're reading this. You will be exposed. Dont be. I sort of understnad your reasoning... you have a chance to be a hero or a zero. I think you're going to worry yourself into an early grave if you dont do the right thing for the people of Southampton and half the bloody South coast who support this team... Please remove Lowe. And please give us a manager NOW. We are dieing.

I don't give a flying f@ck if he holds some cards, all the cards, pocket Aces or anything else. The man is a TRAITOR, can not be trusted, and CAN NEVER BE REDEEMED! By "playing his cards" to bring back Ru**rt, out of pure spite against Crouch and with willful disregard of the club's best interest, and subsequently bending over every time Ru**rt wants him to, he has given up all rights to forgiveness from any true Saints fan.
