Nice. Good team effort. Lots of confidence. Great movement everywhere. We seemed to move the ball quicker today, bit more direct, just a little more aggressive in our play.

The cup is on.

Nice to get Wembley and I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but odds of getting to the final let alone winning it, look extremely slim.

Feeble mentality. Hope the players don't have the same mindset as yourself.

We’ve got a team that’s capable of beating anyone on their day.

We’re not in great form but two early goals in two matches to give us some confidence might just see us do it...

Well deserved win against average Championship team. Can only beat what's in front of you and it should have been 4-0.

Thought Forster did well again. Redmond of course draws most attention and to be fair, rightly so. Armstrong put it a great performance and Diallo did well. JWP is a machine. KWP immense. And special shout out to Salisu who looked very good again. Well done Saints....let's take this into the last few games of the Prem.

Only disappointment is we didn’t annihilate them. Would have been great to win 5 or 6 and we could have. Great performance and once we scored never in doubt.

First half hour was cagey, wasn’t looking great, but the first goal gave us the lift needed.

Hopefully see us kick on and great to get a win before international break.

Second half didn’t need to get out of second gear.

Armstrong was once again outstanding. He controls the ball when at full tilt almost as good as Lallana used to do, ensuring he maximises every break opportunity. Love watching him play.

I say this every time, but Diallo is a proper player. So talented.

Nice to reach the semis, quite comfortably too.

Personally I hate that the semis are at Wembley but here’s hoping for a bit of good luck on the day.

Agreed. No reason to hold them there this year. Time to return them to neutral grounds and make that final experience that more special.

Realistic mentality. Hope you pop a tenner on and win a grand though.

Odds are 25/2 before we won that. Not sure 100/1 is super likely...

Great result for the lads, glad we don't have to listen to the "Ralph out" melts for an evening, I'm sure they will be back in full force next time we stumble though

Did N'Lundulu win some sort of competition to become a footballer?

Looked like he’d put his feet on the wrong legs when he got up this morning looking at his first few touches - can’t be easy coming on late  repeatedly. I’d have thought there is a danger of trying too hard in an effort to get more pitch time.

First twenty mins, we looked like a championship side... did pretty well after.

Happy for Redmond and Djenepo to get on the scoresheet... nice goals all of them. Che so unlucky  with the offsides, I like him a lot

Armstrong, what a player

All in all, easy win, clean sheet, in the semi, happy days 🙂

Well played Nathan Redmond, pleased for him. Clearly he has had a poor season, but he has always been a confidence player and this performance and 2 good goals and a fine assist should do him the power of good for the rest of the season if he can stay fit.

Good performance, very happy for Redmond to get the goals and the assist, hopefully that will boost his confidence for the next few games. Adams scored a great goal too, VAR or no that should give him encouragement too.

But how shite were Bournemouth?! Not paid too much attention to them this year but haven't they been in the argument for automatic promotion most of the season, never mind playoffs? I know they've had some injuries but surely they should be doing better than that against one of the worst defences in the PL.

Just all feels a bit flat. Guess it's just indicative of how weird this season has been. I don't mean the actual win, but the fact that none of us were able to be at the game.

you are right, that energy and excitement you get from attending games somehow transfers across to those unable to attend and creates a cup run buzz. Thats not there, sadly, but the league form is weighing heavy. Come semi final day we will all be buzzing again.

Good professional performance against a side going through the motions, tellingly their manager said “two or three didn’t give up”.

Without Danny Ings we do lack quality in the final third, but you can only beat what’s put in front of you. Djneppo took his goal well, but he minced around most of the game. Armstrong, KWP  & Redmond our best players today.

Let’s hope the focus 100% is on the semi final. These opportunities don’t come around very often.

I've said this before, but I really don't understand how other sports (esp Rugby) can get it so right and football gets it so wrong.

In rugby, the whole point of the TMO is to arrive at the correct decision. So far, this only appears to be the case on occasion in football. At other times it seems to be used to back up the onfield decision. The discussion between the infield ref and the TMO is broadcast in rugby. As an example, the foul against Salish by Sturridge at the end would probably have gone something like this ...

Ref to VAR: I have a clear foul by red-and-black on white. I would like to check for a card.

Replays shown at both normal speed and slow speed from two or three different angles.

Ref to VAR: I see a no-arm, shoulder charge direct to the neck. I would like to check for mitigation.

One more replay shown

Ref to VAR: I don’t see the white player falling therefore the charge to neck was high. I suggest a red card.

VAR to ref: I see no mitigating circumstances. Agree with a red card.

And Sturridge would have been sent off.

I am unsure of Laws in football concerning a forehand smash to the neck, but under rugby rules it was a straight red.

Very pleased for Nathan Redmond today. He's quite clearly a confidence player and he took both goals today exceptionally well and a top assist for Djenepo too :) Forster clean sheet yet again and he made some great stops too. KWP, JWP, Diallo, Bertrand, Adams and Djenepo all good too. Armstrong absolute class today, he tore Bournemouth to bits :) Thought both Jack and Salisu were good when they came on too, Salisu in particular looks class every time :)

We March onto the Semis with Ralph - COYR :)

The post match reaction is quite small today, why is that ?

Professional performance today, we can only get better and hopefully this will give us a lift

Lunchtime kick off. Everyone has gone straight down the pub to celebrate.

Good performance by the lads. Hope we can somehow go all the way.

Well done Nathan Redmond. I’ve been one of his harshest critics all season. The reason is that when he’s braver and tries to make things happen he’s not a bad player but all too often he goes for the backward option and when he decides he will play the ball forward he does so with such hesitation that he messes it up.

One swallow doesn’t make a summer but if he can play more like this, week in week out against EPL teams then we’d be a better more effective team.
