Weston Super Saint Posted 2 September, 2022 Share Posted 2 September, 2022 No wonder the Dame and her team rode roughshod over the rules and procedures and developed such a poor performing culture. She probably took her cues from the very top of the London Leadership team. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-62766240 Quote Dame Cressida said the report had found Mr Khan "did not follow due process and at times his behaviour was oppressive, unreasonable, entirely unacceptable and unfair". Sir Tom's paper also notes that the mayor's actions were "not in accordance with the relevant legislation". #doesanyonehaveafuckingcluewhattheyaredoing? Inevitable and overdue. ...and still the record of the Met under Dick shows what a dysfunctional force she/them ran: Quote A Metropolitan Police armed officer who used his role to put fear into his victims has admitted dozens of rape and sexual offences against 12 women. David Carrick, 48, who met some victims through dating websites, pleaded guilty to 49 offences, across two decades. The Met has apologised after it emerged he had come to the attention of police over nine incidents, including rape allegations, between 2000 and 2021. A senior officer said his offending was "unprecedented in policing". Assistant Commissioner Barbara Gray, the Met's lead for professionalism, said: "We should have spotted his pattern of abusive behaviour and because we didn't, we missed opportunities to remove him from the organisation. It is said to criticise current and past leadership, and argue that high-profile recent cases such as those of Couzens and rapist David Carrick were not isolated, but symptoms of pervasive shortcomings. sadoldgit Posted 17 March, 2023 Share Posted 17 March, 2023 The Met is a mess but has been a mess for some considerable time and Cressida Dick isn’t responsible for the state of it prior to 2017. It needs a complete overhaul but then that has been the case for years.

Weston Super Saint Posted 16 June, 2023 Share Posted 16 June, 2023 What happens when those in charge of monitoring the police don't give a shit about the laws? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65928045 Quote The ex-police watchdog director general has been charged with raping a girl under 16 and indecent assault. The good officers in there must be pretty frustrated. Too many cunts to turn the ship around. This happened to my wife just last week. She is a civilian and after having different managers come in over the last few months talking about changing the culture, the New Met and their door open policy. She had a issue that she wanted an answer to, so she emailed her boss and director of the department, she missed out a few useless bosses in between. One of the missed out bosses was caught off guard and wanted my wife disciplined for emailing the director instead of him. In 2023 people still want to manage like it's the 1970's and no one has the balls to stand up to him. Fortunately my wife in the job for years stood up for herself, but it caused a load of shit last week. He won't be spoken too and her original email still hasn't been addressed. So you have people at the top and at the bottom that want change. But in the middle there are loads of people that it is just business as usual, who completly ignore any direction they don't agree with. They are often recruited and managed by old mates and the managers below them are reliant on them for promotion, so these people are free to act in whatever way they want. Will Kerr was a police officer in Northern Ireland for 27 years before leaving in 2018. He joined Devon and Cornwall Police in December.
