Saint_clark Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 McCarthy is a fucking waste of space. Ralph you're a fucking idiot who owes Forster an apology. 2
Saint_clark Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Defenders absolutely useless as well twice now they haven't reacted quick enough.
DT Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Another soft as shit goal. Salisu just so loose. Awful. Powder puff everywhere. McCarthy invisible. Atrocious.
OttawaSaint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 McCarthy couldn't stop a beachball right now...
stknowle Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Fucks sake was desperate for us to get to half time without conceding again. Got to fear a caning now.

LGTL Posted 10 March, 2021 Author Posted 10 March, 2021 The defending after the back heal. My fucking god
Mr X Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 (edited) Salisu isn't ready quite yet to start for us Edited 10 March, 2021 by Mr X
vectraman Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 I'd be annoyed if my Under 13's passed across our own box like Adams did. What on earth was he thinking, that really is an elementary mistake. Poor Ralph - how do you account for that in your planning for the game?! 1
obelisk Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 This could be 5 or 6 if City step it up. Saints making far too many mistakes.
Whitey Grandad Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Statues in defence and Mr. Wobbly in goal. What could go right? 1 1
Disco Stu Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 We've actually played okay but we lack quality. Simple as that. Errors at the back against quality opposition will only end one way. 1

Sheaf Saint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Ball could have gone absolutely anywhere when it bounced off the post then. Literally anywhere else and it's bit a goal. That's the kind of luck you get when you're a team like City.
gammon cheeks Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 That last goal justs shows how fokin feeble we are !
Baird of the land Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Annoying half. Some excellent stuff, then shooting ourselves in the foot after doing the hard work to get level and a injury tme goal to boot.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 FFS Forster would have saved all 3, and knocked in that free kick. 1 4

It's like he's afraid of touching the ball, the way he dives.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Adams with a terrible non-pass. Armstrong caught ball watching again and not tracking his man. Small margins...they are just much better than us. There’s no point over-analysing this. Just keep the fucking score below 5-1 Saints.
The Cat Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 2 minutes ago, Saint_clark said: McCarthy is a fucking waste of space. Ralph you're a fucking idiot who owes Forster an apology. WTF? He pulled off 2 great saves for 2 of the goals while the rest of the defence stood around doing fuck all and watched unmarked players knock in the rebound. Are you really that thick? 7

Che made a mistake he will know that. This has never been a 3-1 game, we've played quite well so far. 2
trousers Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Decent performance overall. Going in level at half time wouldn't have been unreasonable. Hey ho. Damage limitation ahoy 1
igsey Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Don't get the criticism for McCarthy (apart from the non-pen) or Salisu - we're playing against some of the best players in the world, doesn't mean our players are suddenly "not good enough". Let's not kid ourselves that Forster would have saved any of their goals. 2
CanadaSaint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 It would help if Stephens could be more than a pylon out there
DT Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 There’s just no robustness. No solidity. Everywhere there are loose passes and the prospect of losing the ball too easily. And then the house of cards fall with a puff of wind. It’s at the manager’s door. Needs coaching. Tactics. Strength. Every week the same.
whelk Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Can forgive some mistakes but fucking hell Adams you stupid twat. Never play that ball and your a fucking professional
badgerx16 Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 So many expert experienced PL managers on here, who have spent all season at the training ground building up their superlative knowledge of each and every member of the first team squad. What does Ralph know, bloody amateur and completely out of his depth. 1 1 1
BotleySaint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Game is as expected. Top team has the most possession, chances etc. And goals. We've put in a good effort and scored but you've got to be realistic. Their budget is ginormous. Ours is pocket money in comparison. Hopefully they'll ease off second half with a lot of games coming up.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Absolutely no last ditch defending, no chucking their bodies in the way, no tackles flying in, absolutely zero metal toughness yet again. Bunch of fucking fairies that do ok when it doesn’t hurt or matter. 1
whelk Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Made a decent fist of it but not enough. Interesting see what fight they have in 2nd half
bangkoksaint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 McCarthy pulled off some decent saves. Those that think otherwise must be watching a different game!! #opinions 2

I've never understood this whole idea of a team "deserving" more because they have more corners and possession. Basically it's shorthand for a team having more luck than normal with their finishing and having a higher number of goals than they would normally based on the chances they've had.
DT Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Redmond has actually been okay. I know. Weird. But so many too loose players letting slip. Can’t against these. Or anyone.
SNSUN Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 I can’t watch the second half so if we miraculously draw 3-3 or even win then it’s my doing. You can’t make mistakes against a City team on this form. Now make subs, put players where they should be, and go for it. Anything less than 5 goals for City tonight would be a respectable result. 1
Micky Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Time to switch off, players walking on the edge of our own box. Another tonking coming up unless Ralph sorts this out. Defend like fuck, get out at 3 with some confidence and respect intact and move on. Really can't be done with another embarrasment.
Teddeer Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Played well but sadly that huge blunder from Adams changed the course of the game. City look as though they have another gear so let's hope they go easy on us second half. Generally pleased with our play and we did cause them problems.

And one of those saves was just before a rebound shot that we conceded.
obelisk Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Difference really is that when City make mistakes at the back Saints don't punish them.
JRM Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Ralph is just using this game to experiment and try out a few things in case needed this season, Bertrand out of position a few times at right back, Stephens in the middle. McCarthy all over the place, should have been a pen to City and a sending off. 1
BotleySaint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 (edited) I just keep thinking of that Wolves game the other night. They had City at 1-1 with 10 mins to go and ended up being thrashed 4-1. And Wolves are a better team than us. At least we aren't hanging on false hope Edited 10 March, 2021 by BotleySaint
