SKD Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Have to say I agree with Bertrand at RB given the situation. ralph obviously thinks (and I don’t blame him) of our CB’s that Salisu at LB is the strongest / best option. Stephens and Bednerak have been appalling there, so pointless trying that again. Right footed players play LB, so no reason why a left footed player can’t play RB.
igsey Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Very interested to see how Salisu gets on at LB, he's been mentioned there a few times on here. I guess Stephens in midfield should give the full backs some more confidence to go forwards.

The Cat Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 We're better than 1970 Brazil. Ederson needs to take some kicking hints from McCarthy.

Mr X Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Started well but we usually do and end up fading drastically
whelk Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 City are on a Liverpool style drop off. Hammering them

Credit to Ralph, seems to have a plan here rather than the usual let’s just Chuck out the same 11 and hope for the best. we’ll probably still get a pasting, but it’s a positive sign he’s willing to change. The Cat Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Haha, one attack. Unlucky McCarthy because that was a hell of a save.

The Cat Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Maybe Armstrong should have tracked back. Imagine if that was Redmond it would have broken the forum. 1
Mr X Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Ffs against the run of play, poor their first attack and we concede!
Chez Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Bertrand ball watched a bit. Bloody good save from McCarthy, but to no avail. Shame. Good start before that. 1
Saint NL Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Armstrong should take a lot of the blame for that. Shame as we were looking good Pretty much game over now.

Uncle Albert Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 That really shows the difference in quality, one attack and they score
BotleySaint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 (edited) No over-reactions here. They are a top team who can score at will against anyone when in the mood. Just look what they did to wolves a few games ago. Edited 10 March, 2021 by BotleySaint
Saint_clark Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Brilliant play by Armstrong there but clear evidence follows of why you can't play centrebacks at fullback.

obelisk Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Armstrong having his worst game for quite a while.
nta786 Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Redmond good effort that pleased he didn’t try to go backwards! Corner Saints
SNSUN Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 15 minutes in and it is already a damage limitation exercise. I didn’t like that line up. That was the line up of someone who fears the opposing team and has previously had a couple of 9 nil thrashings on his CV. I’m a Ralph supporter but that was an odd line up. Still this is a free hit and Brighton is more important. That said we don’t want another thrashing crushing our confidence levels again.
Sheaf Saint Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 City haven't even got out of first gear yet and they are already ahead. Gonna be a long night.

Jimmy_D Posted 10 March, 2021 Posted 10 March, 2021 Gerrin! Certainly don't deserve to be behind on balance so far.
