badgerx16 Posted 2 March, 2021 Share Posted 2 March, 2021 His horses will almost certainly miss Cheltenham, unless owners transfer them to another trainer, due to the temporary ban whilst the Irish Racing Board investigate the dead horse picture. Could get at least a year training ban once the inquiry has concluded.
ChrisPY Posted 2 March, 2021 Share Posted 2 March, 2021 Considering the coverage outside of the sport, I wouldn’t be surprised if Elliott and James are given lifetime bans in an attempt to show this isn’t the norm in the racing world and in general the horses are treated as kings as the public have been told for so long. So much money has been lost in the last year, racing needs to manage this perfectly or the future of the sport is in serious jeopardy... Elliott’s statement wasn’t a great start to the management. badgerx16 Posted 5 March, 2021 Author Share Posted 5 March, 2021 (edited) 6 month ban in Britain and Ireland, with a further 6 months suspended. Cannot therefore enter runners for Cheltenham or Aintree. Owners have until 9th March to transfer horses to another trainer or their horses fall under the ban.
