HarvSFC Posted 22 February, 2021 Posted 22 February, 2021 (edited) There was me coming in to say that hopefully they'd be in for more than one game this time around. Edited 22 February, 2021 by HarvSFC
Lighthouse Posted 22 February, 2021 Posted 22 February, 2021 I expect a St Mary's record attendance for our first pre-season friendly.
aintforever Posted 22 February, 2021 Posted 22 February, 2021 Sod’s law we finally win something two days before fans are allowed back.

Kenilworthy Posted 22 February, 2021 Posted 22 February, 2021 It would be grossly unfair for the home teams to have 10,000 fans in their ground for the last game of the season . 2

Chris cooper Posted 22 February, 2021 Author Posted 22 February, 2021 Fulham Newcastle last game of season both needing 3 points to stay up 🤦🏻.. 10,000 Fulham fans would be very unfair 1 1

Sounds like a great plan. Can imagine the money men rubbing their hands together right now mummering 'We could do that.......'
JRM Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 I'd hoped there would be some limited numbers back in April, allowing a few to attend the semi final at Wembley if we make it. Usual disappointment from these announcements and no doubt goal posts will be shifted again when they discover a 'New variant ' We've been locked down to "protect the NHS" and most vulnerable, they've had the jab now but still we are given crumbs of liberty by the govt. It would certainly seem from this timeline there will be no football for us for until August , will be 17 months then since I and many others have last been to St Mary's ffs. 1
Uncle Albert Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Don't you think they might reschedule the final? Surely a difference of two days isn't to difficult to change.

Doesn't every home game have at least 10k more home fans than away fans in the top flight.

But in this case we are talking about only one game. The home/away mix of fans ought to even itself out over a season where each team plays the other home and away.
Jimmy_D Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 For what it's worth, could be that the domestic cup finals are used as test events for getting fans back in. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/13864/12225988/fa-offers-to-stage-carabao-cup-and-fa-cup-finals-as-test-events-for-return-of-fans-to-stadiums Remains to be seen if that gets taken up.
