Shirley, you can’t be serious? We’re supposed to be clearing out our own garbage, not hoovering up other peoples’. I’d take PvA from Palace and that’s it.

nope I will stand by my view

PVA, Cahill and Schlupp would all be great additions -

Cahill would bring so much wisdom and experience - exactly what we need in our back line

Schlupp is excellent - most Leicester fans i know were gutted that he left - great engine and speed and most palace fans i know what him re-signed pronto

PVA - could do a job for us and pops up with a goal occasionally

Guilta has re-signed with them - shame good keeper

Townsend was a little joke I will admit

Van Aanholt with 19 Premier League starts and Schlupp with 14 Premier League starts for a Palace side who finished one point above us. Yep.

We should've signed Cahill two/three years ago when he was available, that time has passed now.

Guaita is a dreadful keeper, one of the very few in the league worse than Macca.

He absolutely isn't worse than McCarthy

It says we have held discussions. Hopefully Southampton not willing to pay as much as Liverpool want.......

The fans comments were that Shaquri has been offered half of Liverpool asking, 7 mil, that would leave minimeno, at about 5 mil. He's light weight, but had a great box to box engine. Could handle all the miles Rh requires players to run, just can he bulked up like JWP did.

So are a load of other average at best players like Klaassen, Luuk de Jong, Blind, Krul and Stekelenburg.

Yeah it snuck up on me too, I swear he was ok a couple of seasons ago but he has been dreadful this year, palace fans hate him.

Freddie Woodman who has been linked with us gifting Brentford a penalty in the playoff final

I'd be all for signing a new keeper but would prefer someone older and more experienced.

He'll fit right in.

I'd rather not have to watch this all season

om nom nom eating GIF

Rather that than hearing Ralph’s completely uninspiring barking from the touch line, which could be pretty much on loop for every game.
just watch the game rather than the chewing eh. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can cross Rico Henry off the LB list.

Why? Hes only featured twice since February with a hamstring injury missing the run in and playoffs. They might decide to cash in on him given they've other decent options at LB

And has missed the last 2 matches through injury. Yet more reason not to make a move for him. I would rather our primary LB wasn't one who is likely to spend more time out injured than available.

Given Henry is less likely, who was my preferred option at LB, who of the players we are linked to is the ideal scenario now? Firpo and Taveres look good to me, not sure about Williams and not at all persuaded by Tanganga or Neco Williams, the latter looked pretty woeful to me when he played for liverpool.

Firpo would be top of the list for me.

The usual barca fringe player link

Cristian Tello / Munir / Jean-Clair Todibo / Junior Firpo

:D

I had to raid the transfer archives to find these.  Lets hope the Robbie Brady link is this years version of Lex Immers.

Where do you get this sort of information from? That 'we' have not done any searching?

I can almost guarantee you that we have not only researched but approached multiple clubs about multiple players for at least the last 6 months.

No doubt we're seriously looking but knowing us it will have been players who we have <5% chance of actually signing. If you're on the fringes of Barca or Benfica I imagine you'll have much more attractive options than us. Will take us until mid-August to realise that and then we'll be onto our 6/7th choice

So are you suggesting that we draw up a list then discard the first 6 and only go after no 7 onwards?

It's best that we only go for average players so that we can get them in early for no reason

Linked with Davies from Everton again 👎

He had a decent season tbf, although it’s clear to every man and his dog that midfield is one area we don’t need reinforcements.

(*unless we somehow manage to bin off Redmond, then we need a replacement)

He is and his distribution is also worse than macca which takes some doing.

Ralph made it clear we are not in the market for another CM when talking about Delaney. JWP, Romeu, Diallo, Smallbone and if needed Armstrong is what we will have in that position next season, most likely.

For us not to be interested in a midfielder, we are certainly being linked with more midfielders than LBs!

Indeed.  Would guess Christie would be eyed as a “Wide 10”?
