Even young ones who have gone out to lower leagues like Morgan Rogers at Man City are priced at Β£10m.

What I mean is Iβm only going to watch saints, who the opposition is makes no odds. In fact games against big clubs are usually hideous. We usually lose, on the wrong end of refs decisions and have cocky away fans giving it large with them often in the home areas. So whilst itβs nice to beat them now and again and the semi final at anfield was one of the best nights Iβm not really a big fan of plucky little saints upsetting the odds now and again. Id certainly rather we won against Sheffield Wednesday than lost against Liverpool. You also donβt get any more points for beating a big club

Expand Those 9-0s will be an unwanted stain on our history for many years. However, I do agree with you, I've always wanted Saints to dine at the top table, even if it's a struggle a lot of the time. I have a mate who supports Coventry, a club that were basically our twin sister back in the 90's. They were relegated from the Prem 20 long years ago and following them has, quite frankly, been pretty dire ever since. Not looking for an argument with anyone, I just have my view and respect that others have a different one. I just think our glass is at least half full. 4

Expand How good does a player need to be in your criteria to be good enough for our first team. Michael Obafemi and Shane Long have just spearheaded our attack in our last pre season friendly which is ludicrous. They may not be in our first team squad at the end of August but they are now and could well be for our first game of the season. The same applies to Moi, maybe he too will be shipped out before the window ends but signs are he will be staying. Yan Valery also another one ? Ralph also wanted to keep Lemina who was deemed not good enough for the last 3 years. Bit of a trend going on with all these players not good enough for our first team but now possibly staying.

Expand When we went down I enjoyed some of my best years as a fan. Away days at some new grounds where the fans were real fans, seeing us win regularly, the joy of promotion. The home games were great too. Fans knew who the players were, they didn't go after 80 mins to beat the traffic. I wanted us to do well as a club, but having watched us cheat relegation many times, seen the money men take any sense of real competition out of the game, I knew we'd never actually be able to go toe to toe with the big boys. Whilst I'm happy we're a premier league club, I'd still spend my money going to watch us play whatever league we're in. Salford City or Man Utd are both a 200 ish mile drive to watch my team play and have day out. 5
