Mr Brightside Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Would have liked to have seen Ramsay given another chance. Not convinced Bednarek is a better option at RB.

Saint_Tony Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 nice to see the moaning has started. One of the first opportunities Ralph has had to rotate his squad, and a good time to do it.

Minamino being dropped however is an odd one, shouldn't need a rest as he got one for the cup game. He did tire badly against Newcastle and if he still isn’t fully match fit he could fade again playing twice in four days. Overall it looks like a decent call from Ralph, likewise the decision to drop Ings.
davefizzy14 Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 I think Ralph is resting Ingsy and Minamino for the second half along with Moussa who would have picked up some knocks from his warrior type performance on Saturday. 1

Are you suggesting the two things are contradictory? I would venture otherwise. I advocated resting Ings from the starting line up for the very reason we can unleash him in the second half if needs be.
igsey Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Hopefully Armstrong on the right, Redmond on the left and Tella up top with Adams?
Convict Colony Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Cheers Ralph I captained ings this week and also have the Japanese Messi starting. Hopefully Che does score and Danny replaces Redders on the 60 mins and gets a quick hat trick 1

Baird of the land Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 (edited) Disappointed to see ings on bench. Good to see Tella getting a starting chance. Fingers crossed he can make the most of it. Edited 23 February, 2021 by Baird of the land
TWar Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 2 minutes ago, Matthew Le God said: The cup game is on the 20th March, so it is completely irrelevant to tonight's selection decisions. What is more relevant is we played 3 days ago and the front four players did a lot of running, so we have put some fresh players in the starting XI. If a player does a hammy or something they could be out for 4-6 weeks, we have already lost important players in KWP, Theo, and Diallo to this and Ralph clearly is more fearful of it without access to our recooperation facilities. Maybe we will see players who are more prone to muscle injuries like Armstrong, Djenepo, and Ings rotated more in general now as we care less about the league.
rooney Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Min and investors come on in 2nd half when we normally give the game away. Hinchcliffe co commentator ugh!
SNSUN Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 More assists from Tella Like the one he set up Armstrong with against Wolves and we will be laughing. Happy Adams is back. I think Leeds will be too strong for us but it depends on how our defence holds up. This could be a 1-0 Saints or a 4-0 Leeds. So hard to predict.

Manuel Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Some talent on the bench. Imagine Mini and Ings could cause some chaos against tired legs should we need a goal... Glad Tella's been given a go. 1

SaintZamboni Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Think this side will work. Try to be solid, knowing Leeds will come at us, use pace on the break and introduce Ings and Mina as they tire, assuming we’re still in the game
sfc4prem Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 We're quite pessimistic currently, aren't we? Suppose that's fair given 1 point out of the last 21. Sticking with 3-1 Leeds
nta786 Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 watching Bielsa with his translator took me back to the days of Poch with us - and then to think first day at Spurs he was speaking English all fine! 🤨

Play important players who are injury prone at most once a week, keeping them fresh and more likely fit for the important match a month from now.

Lighthouse Posted 23 February, 2021 Author Posted 23 February, 2021 Good composure from Salisu there, then lost his man 30s later.
igsey Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Very close from Vestergaard, won't get many better opportunities.
Lighthouse Posted 23 February, 2021 Author Posted 23 February, 2021 Red Sea defending there from Leeds.

BotleySaint Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Adams has been a bit off-pace so far. Not involved. 1
Sheaf Saint Posted 23 February, 2021 Posted 23 February, 2021 Oof. That was risky from Salisu. Could easily have given away a pen there.
