I guess Obafemi & Smallbone also weren't on the plane 😉👼

Me too, but I make it only 4 games, what have I missed?

I'm assuming the Brighton match will be on Sky although it is not marked up as such yet, BT are doing a slightly earlier game on the same day.

Big game tonight - hopefully we can get the win and be within striking distance of the top half. 2-0 to us tonight Ings and Minamino :) COYR

Does feel quite important doesn't it? Win and we can relax and have a fun end to the season, lose and it's between us, Brighton and Fulham for the 3rd relegation spot.

Ah, well deduced CW, thanks.

If we lose tonight and beat Everton in our next game, will we still be in a battle for the 3rd relagation spot (given we can 'relax and have a fun end to the season' if we beat Leeds tonight but then lose to Everton)...? ;)

Not Newcastle, Burnley, Palace, Leeds, Wolves or Arsenal then?

I've read this post multiple times and can't figure out whether you think there is interest in the game or not?

Sorry - the word not was not intended. A senior moment!!

Some interesting changes tonight.

Makes sense really. Its a pretty meaningless and inconsequential end of season mid table contest so a great opportunity to give the kids a run out, or experiment a bit.

No :(

Any reason why seeing as some have less points than us or the odd point or two more plus we have a game in hand over some?

So Leeds best player is out injured and Ralph decides to even things up by dropping our best player to the bench. Strange but assume there is method in the apparent madness. We shall see.

Cue the conspiracy theories with Ings being dropped.....

We won at Chelsea and Palace last season with Ings rested.

Djenepo better have a niggle. Cos after putting it all on the line to help us get a point, it would send completely the wrong message to then drop him.

We played 3 days ago and he got lumps kicked out of him, not surprised if he needs a rest.

A fit and in form Danny Ings is undoubtedly our best player.

Unfortunately, he hasn't been both of those things since before his injury in December. Perhaps a rest/dropping will do him good.

I did not say it would not happen, I said it isn't a great idea. Those are different things! 😉

I guess Hasenhuttl has done it to keep things fresh in the front 4 players. We have some useful options on the bench if needed.

He’ll get on at 60 mins IMO

I wager we have lost more games he hasn't started than won.

We’ve lost more games this season with him in the team than not.

Does this signify us focusing the cup? Benching our more important injury prone lads? Surprised Minimino doesn't start if thats the case as he can't play Cup.

Isn't the cup game just under a month away!?

I'd guess Djenepo is a bit battered. Could be that Ralph doesn't think Ings and Minamino will last a full game, so save them for when a high-intensity Leeds maybe tire?

The cup game is on the 20th March, so it is completely irrelevant to tonight's selection decisions.

What is more relevant is we played 3 days ago and the front four players did a lot of running, so we have put some fresh players in the starting XI.

I predict those saying Ings needed dropping to the bench will be screaming for him to be brought on at half time. Hope to be proved wrong.
