benjii Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Interesting bit hidden here .....ties with 2 different people have stated to me he is returning totally unrelated people as well. Hoddle?

georgeismyname Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Wilde statement: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11263 That really helps to clear things up :confused::smt104:rolleyes:
rocknrollman no2 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Who cares what that turncoat has to say? Its mostly his fault we are where we are now.
OldNick Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 trading in Baldrick with the village idiot, good stuff.I hope Im proved wrong, but this appointment will not quell the awful scenes that we had during Doncaster nad future home ugames. We needed somebody to inspire and nullify the unrest Wotte will not do that
Loyal Saint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 I can not believe that less than a week after the trouble and anger demonstrated towards him and his gutless sidekick Wilde, Lowe's managed to come up with this decision and **** fans off yet further. Wotte will fail, guaranteed and join the ever growing list of disasterous decisions Lowe's made. Get the clueless ****ers out
SaintlyAnd Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 South Today just said Wotte is in charge until the end of the season
saint lard Posted 23 January, 2009 Author Posted 23 January, 2009 Wilde statement: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11263 "for the time being" Wotte is not long term.
InvictaSaint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Wilde statement: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11263 Note the use of the phrase towards the end: "for the time being"
paulwantsapint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Would have preferred WOTTON at least he knows this league
PaulSaint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Hoddle? The UI are hinting at this too? http://www.clubfanzine.com/southampton/v2.showNews.php?id=17509
exit2 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/?page_id=6587&player_id=157 not wasting any time here. just look at what it says about dutch style of football and youngsters.....................they have just cut and pasted that from Jans write up last year

Hust look at what it says about dutch style of football and youngsters.....................they have just cut and pasted that from Jans write last year Yep, just referred to that on another thread. What a load of ********. Next they'll be telling us Archie Gemmil nutmegged him.
um pahars Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/?page_id=6587&player_id=157 not wasting any time here. just look at what it says about dutch style of football and youngsters.....................they have just cut and pasted that from Jans write up last year And I reckon the same guy who put up Jan's fcking dodgy CV has put Wotte's up as conveniently they have missed out his stint at Den Bosch that resulted in their relegation and going into financial turmoil. I wonder why that would be???? After Jan's CV thread when he first came on the scene, maybe someone should do some digging to come up with the real one for Wotte.
markdeyzel@hotmail.com Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 I started off feeling a little positive when i heard poortvliet had gone. Thought maybe could get someone decent. But not Wotte, may as well have kept Jan. Ruperts tring to save himself, and this isnt the way to do it. Read Wilde's statement and sounds like jump before pushed. After all he did say yesterday that he wanted to work harder. NO NO NO
exit2 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Wotte its on there now as well.
exit2 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Can someone tell what ****ing difference this bloke is going to make? Hes on the coaching team and has seen how ****e we have been, so does he not perk up and say actually Jan I think we should do A,B,C. This guy has been assisting Jan with the current team FFS.........
VectisSaint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Something really odd about all this. (1) Why did the OS say Wotte is in charge for the Norwich game? (2) Why did Wilde make the statement (and not Lowe)? (3) Why does Sky now all of a sudden say its permanent? (4) Why has this happened just as a group of shareholders are holding a meeting at the De Vere (5) Why was Wotte not appointed Head Coach in the first place, after all he was lined up for the job originally but we got Burley instead, and his CV, unlike JP's is actually quite impressive, if he had been Head Coach we would not have been aboe to level the criticism of him being an amateur or out of his depth like we did with JP If I didn't know Lowe and Wilde better, I would perhaps ponder on whether Wilde has actually done this behind Lowe's back, and persuaded JP to stand down. Maybe thats just wishful thinking, hoping that Wilde and Lowe have had the fall out that we have been praying for all season so that Lowe can finally be ousted. Ah well I can dream I suppose. I reckon that someone else will be in place next week, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was Hoddle (and as long as he has Gorman to back him I would be happy with this). Could be an interesting few days.
benjii Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 I simply cannot abide his ****ing hair. This is a complete ****ing disgrace. I'm ****ing livid.

StBiffa Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 We are in a right ******* mess Lowe and Wilde need to f**k off now
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 So are you happy with that then ? He is always happy with Rupert`s decisions...
Whitey Grandad Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Well, that'll bring the crowds flooding back.
CB Fry Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 I also look forward to seeing this "new manager effect" you're all always talking about when other clubs change :-) We haven't got a new manager, we've got the same old shi te.

harvey Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 To be fair, while obvious the frustration comes that we're not replacing Jan with a manager we wanted, if it had only been a choice of keep going with Jan, or replace him with Wotte, wouldn't most have voted for the latter? I'm not exactly inspired by it, confused more than anything, but then, he really can't do any worse results wise. Well we should have stuck with JP then..........have you got anything about you at all ???
Under Weststand Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 To be fair, while obvious the frustration comes that we're not replacing Jan with a manager we wanted, if it had only been a choice of keep going with Jan, or replace him with Wotte, wouldn't most have voted for the latter? No as you can't tell me that Wotte hasn't had significant input so far, so what's going to suddenly change now, hope I'm wrong but can't see anything significant changing. As you say we can't do worse but its just shuffling the deck chairs for me. When what we really need is completely new direction.
NickG Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Duncan, I feel like repeating myself This is a complete shambles, but certainly nothing less than we would expect from Lowe. Even someone like Lowe must feel on the run now and Wilde must be feeling like a rabbit caught in the headlines, don't you think? I believe the end is now nigh, but it is so disappointing. I am constantly reminded by my friend in the Itchen Centre that this regime must be seen to fail before others far better will consider taking over and taking us forward. I was concerned that you felt that Lowe could possibly take over post administration. Maybe he has joined forces with Dennis Roach, who knows All the best and of course all the above is IMHO. Morph thought you though the end was a long time ago? tbf if you continually predict it one day you will be accurate!
xerox Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 thought you though the end was a long time ago? tbf if you continually predict it one day you will be accurate! i;ve said it before and i will say it again. stop funding this shower it is the only thing lowe understands, if you go to games protest, storm the fecking box, set fire to lowes car, anything just get rid of the fecker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Under Weststand Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 No doubt. I'd be surprised if there were big changes to selection anyway. But I don't expect a worse performance. Just hope he can find some results and we can afford someone better before too long. I think we'd all agree with that at the end of the day no matter what our opinions we all want Saints to survive in this league & start to move forward.
steward 09 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Like many I was slightly pleased when I heard the news but that was instantly replaced with a sinking feeling at the appt of Wotte. I feel sorry for JP as I agree he was out of his depth but how is this going to be any better? I feel that who ever is guiding Lowe on football matters is as much use as the business advisor to Woolworths
SW11_Saint Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 (edited) Absofckinglutely!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was only good enough to be Jan's deputy and hold the reigns of the ressies and now we have to accept him as our fcking manager. HELLLLLOOOOOO (PS You know the OS made a big deal over Jan leading Den Bosch to promotion, well have you got any idea who was in charge when they got relegated and went into financial turmoil???????? None other than our new manager) As my Mrs has just said, Lowe runs SFC like some cult (the Scientologists and the ilk) - where he/they think they can manipulate information, feed us b/s and expect us all to follow them blindly, just because of our love for Saints. Well, F**K IT - I DO love Saints, and that is exactly why from now on I am going to move heaven and earth to make the rest of this season as uncomfortable for Lowe, Wilde and the rest of the pathetic bunch of spineless retards who are "running" this fantastic club (into the ground). In the Words of Chris Morris on The Day Today - IT'S WAR!!! Edited 23 January, 2009 by SW11_Saint
St Landrew Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 I also look forward to seeing this "new manager effect" you're all always talking about when other clubs change :-) Yes, interesting. In all the years of watching Saints, I can hardly remember a new Saints boss having a novelty effect and winning the next couple of games, like many other clubs. Paul Sturrock may have had some sort of a nursery period, but that was fundamentally because he had inherited some motivated, half-decent players in the squad to work with. And, although I was against his appointment at the time, I'll say it again, had he remained at Saints, this club might be in a very different position to now. Most of the time, Saints squads have had to play out of their skin just to stand still. Putting it basically, a Saints manager is, in my opinion, historically in one of the most hard working positions ever devised in football management. Because they never get sufficient backing. I'm hopeful, but nowhere near optimistic.

Saint Bones Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Searching for Wottes record whilst manager.. Seems he did a lot of youth work. Still cant quite understand this decsion. Oh - a brief Saints history lesson for you all Knight (1894–95s) • Robson (1895–97s) • Arnfield (1897–1911s) • Swift (1911–12) • Arnfield (1912–19s) • McIntyre (1919–24) • Goss (1924–1925s) • Chadwick (1925–31) • Kay (1931–36) • Goss (1936–37) • Parker (1937–43) • Dominy (1943–46) • Dodgin (1946–49) • Cann (1949–51) • Roughton (1952–55) • Bates (1955–73) • McMenemy (1973–85) • Nicholl (1985–91) • Branfoot (1991–94) • Ball (1994–95) • Merrington (1995–96) • Souness (1996–97) • Jones (1997–2000) • Hoddle (2000–01) • Gray (2001) • Strachan (2001–04) • Sturrock (2004) • Wigley (2004) • Redknapp (2004–05) • Bassett and Wise (2005c) • Burley (2005–08) • Gorman and Dodd (2008c) • Pearson (2008) • Poortvliet (2008–09) • Wotte (2009–)
offix Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 Feijenoord fans on various old message boards are still referring to Wotte as a "fashion doll"; always dressed well, but lacking a brain?
NickG Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 long interview on radio today with Hoddle, first one of his lads is having a trial somewhere, talked at length about his time at spurs and his current project.
saint1977 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 at least Wotte actually has a history of managing reasonably big clubs in Holland. Compared to Jan he actually has a little bit of pedigree. When they where both brought in I assumed the partnership would be the other way around ie, Jan supporting Wotte. Yes, like taking a club in Holland into administration! Funny there was no mention of that on the OS.
St Landrew Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 We've often changed in the summer, which doesn't have quite the effect. Redknapp did in a way, as they played out their skins at home to boro, but then bottled it on typical redknapp style and drew 2-2 late on, typifying that season. sturrock? beat liverpool first game, but then lost to pompey! yeah, so we never have someone come in and win 3 or 4 on the spin, but then....how often do we win 3 in a row anyway?! I think you're agreeing with me AdrianSFC.
saint1977 Posted 23 January, 2009 Posted 23 January, 2009 To be fair, while obvious the frustration comes that we're not replacing Jan with a manager we wanted, if it had only been a choice of keep going with Jan, or replace him with Wotte, wouldn't most have voted for the latter? I'm not exactly inspired by it, confused more than anything, but then, he really can't do any worse results wise. Sadly I think he will do worse Adrian, the odd flukey win will cease. The club is rotten to the core and I dread to think what's going to follow. I certainly don't think the Swansea game is going to have a better atmosphere than Doncaster unless Saints can somehow scrape a win at Carrow, our traditional bogey ground, in fact it could be even worse.
Runaway Posted 24 January, 2009 Posted 24 January, 2009 Well, I suppose it's about time the OS put up a "Rallying Cry" story....
