If you don't cancel it then Amazon would just take £7.99 for another month and so on. However, it asks if you'd like a reminder a few days before it's due where you can then cancel before payment comes out, you'd get an email. Alternatively, there's nothing to stop you signing up and then cancelling almost straight away, you'll still get it free for the remainder of the month.

Thanks for that helpful advice. and checking the forum. How do I connect my smart TV to the internet please?

hoping for a win and to get back on track. In terms of importance, our most important game coming up is Bournemouth. It is unrealistic for us to make top 7, and ludicrous to suggest we may get relegated.

Think we will win this 3-1.

Agreed. The cup is definitely the priority now but we need to get back into some some sort of form leading up to it. We are a team that relies hugely on confidence and momentum.

Next few weeks could be exciting.

Alehouse, I have signed up to Amazon Prime . Thanks again. I  saw the game that provoked the Alehouse brawlers retort from Shankly.

In your TV menu there should be an option to set up a wireless connection to your wifi.

I've got Virgin so it's on channel 205, you'd just need to sign in (it gives you a code to enter on amazon.co.uk/mytv on on your computer/device). If you've had the Prime free trial recently it blocks you taking it out again for a few months.

Edit: OK Totton Saint, nice one, hadn't seen your update before posting

Yes but if you shop regularly on Amazon, the next day free delivery service - worth about £4.95 for each purchase - you only need to make a couple of purchases each month to save more than the monthly fee. Thank about that before you cancel.

I think that's true for most sports teams (not just football).

I agree; we have had prime for a while now and it is well worth the cost. The addition of the football makes it even better value.

Snap ref Amazon Prime. Easily worth the cost even without sport.

I know Amazon are pushing for same-day delivery in some cases, over here.  That is what kills the high street; their online presence/service is diabolical in far too many cases.  I do not mind click and collect, but many high street 'brands' are just pathetic at it.

At least if the game is dull tomorrow I now know where to do some online shopping.

Early kick off on a Sunday, poor weather conditions, can't see it being a classic, will go for 1-1.

I know we've lost the last 5 in the league, but just seen on motd that we're 19th in the form table for the last 10 games (6 points from 30). We need a win tomorrow to stop the rot

Yes definitely, it's not like a one or two week bad spell, it's been two months, 1 win in 10 league games, we went top of the league temporarily when we took the lead at Arsenal, since then we've hardly scored (5 goals in 10) hardly got any points and are dropping down the table like a stone.

Thank God the bottom three are so poor and we're still doing the business in the FA Cup, doesn't make the bad run seem so bad when adding cup results in.

Hopefully we avoid more injuries and can get a good run going again.

Ralph talked about importance of time on the training pitch, he'll be looking for a few weeks without midweek games as we've struggled with that.

It was actually the arsenal game where our form started to dip. After that a loss against city, two 0-0 draw v Fulham and west ham, a win v Liverpool into the losing run we are now in. All in all as bad a run as good the run was before. You can argue we’ve been unlucky in some games, injuries etc but it’s a terrible run, few goals, loads of goals against. Hopefully wolves on Thursday was the start of the comeback.

A near-full strength team playing somewehre near it's best can beat anybody on the day. We know that's true because they have. I'm back betting $10 on a win after the last performance.

Not always, there can be quite an impact when he runs into a defender.

never happens anymore because he has forgotten how to run at defenders

Exhaustion and disruption due to so many key players out. Now they are back and , yes, having to get match sharpness again, but the team are fresher than they have been for weeks. I can'y predict the result, but a draw seems most likely . The team will be on the road back to success!

If Walker-Peters & Armstrong find their best form today we will win comfortably. They are the key to our success and especially if the big man is fully fit and firing on all guns in defence then 3-0 should be attainable.

Just time those runs behind the lines better lads.

I wonder if this game is kicking off at 12 purely because both teams are owned by the Chinese

Not only would it stop the rot, if you look at the table, if we could string a few results together we’d be right up there again. There is no reason why we couldn’t do that, given nearly everyone is back to fitness plus Mincooper, and a couple of the B team starting to stick their heads above the parapet.

i can feel myself starting to regret this wave of positivity already.

That doesn’t mean we have any particular fan base over there. I doubt even our owners watch most of the games.

Interesting, means one of McCarthy, Vestergaard or Minamino doesn't start.

I would guess Minamino bench as Ralph already confirmed McCarthy will play.

Ok I'm not sure how Redmond keeps his place but with the exception of him thats what i would have gone with......Forster would have been a 50/50 call tbf

Can only think he's in to give more defensive cover.

Ralph has shown faith in Redmond. He needs to repay that faith with a more dynamic performance, show some balls going forward and put the ball in the net if and when he gets the chance.

LOL. We understand, we're Saints fans too.

That bench is looking a lot stronger now. I suspect Redmond keeps his place as he's such a confidence player and there were a few signs in the last game of better positional play - he just needs to improve his finishing.

I reckon 2-1

McCarthy to mess up stupidly on the edge of the area and gift them an early goal against the run of play.

Ings to equalise just before half time, it's time for him to get his scoring boots back on.

McCarthy to keep us in it with a couple of fine saves in second half

Ward-Prowse free kick (anagram of "We pack red fireworks"!) to win it late, and get JWP level with Beckham's record of 5 direct free-kick goals in a season - he's got loads of time left to smash that record

Seems well balanced on paper. 👍

Much as expected, Ralph had hinted that Redmond was going to play in the striker role. I know he got some stick for the Cup game in midweek, but if you just watched the highlights you would actually think (mistakenly) that he had a good game. Would still prefer Adams, I think left sided midfield is somewhere we really need to improve in the summer, we can do better than Redmond/Djenepo.

Southampton

Southampton are the only team to play a Premier League match on Valentine’s Day but not receive a card.

No Saints player received a yellow or a red in their 4-2 win over Liverpool on February 14 1994.

All other 15 teams to feature in a game in the Premier League-era on that date have had at least one card.

From BBC.

Nobody likes us we don't care (As Millwall use to say)

It feels and looks like the strongest 11 we've been able to put out for months.

Bench has a bit more meat on the bones as well.

Hmmm I think Adams for the useless Redmond and maybe Forster deserved a crack at the first team now

I've noticed that he gives us a slightly different shape. He drops off Ings in a free ish role making our system more 4231 than 4222. Although I'm not convinced by him in that role (I'd like to see Minamino there, Redmond left) I like the shape of the team.
