igsey Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 We've started very well, hope we can make this early pressure count. 1

ChrisPY Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Very early impressions of Salisu- Looks like he’ll never need to sprint as he seems to have good positioning, anticipation and can cover ground quickly at a jog Does the basics that our style requires pretty well (control, head up, moving the ball on). Know this should be expected of a Premier League player but plenty of other CBs have brought on anxiety!
Lighthouse Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 He's gone from the Ghanaian Vegard Forren to the Ghanaian Ian Pearce. Let's hope he can progress to the Ghanaian Chris Lucketti and eventually the Ghanaian Claus Lundekvam.
DT Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Oh Djenepo. Horrible connection. Nice move mind.
trousers Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 We'd be bloody brilliant if we were clinical in the final third 1

nta786 Posted 11 February, 2021 Author Posted 11 February, 2021 Everything but the finish is how I’d sum up the first 20 minutes Dragging it wide or just slicing it
igsey Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Wolves seem to be trying to replicate England with 5 at the back and an extremely defensive midfield, expecting their forward three to conjure something up. Every time we have a shot there's about 6 players there to block it.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 60% possession and plenty of missed chances. We all know what's next right?😳🥺

SNSUN Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Ah a half 5 kick off. Am I the only person who just missed the first 25 minutes I wonder... 😳 Come on Saints, quarter final against Bournemouth please.

Archers Road Stand Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 We are so dull to watch. You can see why we haven't scored many from open play in the last two or so months.
Toussaint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 We are better, but still blunt where it matters. We need the first goal

sydney_saint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Sometimes the commentators have a story they want to narrate and will shoehorn it in. Clearly they want 'Salisu is rusty'. I think he has looked good today apart from that one error. But suddenly he gets a barracking "He's got to stop doing that' and 'He has to sharpen up'. 1
Toussaint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Wolves are all fannies. Don’t like the cold
markr27 Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 I do hope Wolves don't get the first goal - they'll be rolling around all over the shop. 1

Sky and BT really need to introduce a ‘Scouse Off’ option. 1 5
DT Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Bloody hell Redmond. Runs into problems. Loses the ball. Standard. Why is he playing again? Anyone know?

Wsaint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Why is everyone saying that tackle was a "Salisu error", it wasn't a foul or a pen, it was a strong challenge. Think he's looked decent in the few moments he's had, sweeping up nicely. 1

BotleySaint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Zz.. both teams looking dull. Wolves haven't offered anything. Probably score in a minute against the run of play!
Edmonton Saint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Redmond as ruthless in front of goal as ever 1

Makes us extremely easy to play against, especially as our wide players don't really frighten anyone into doubling up.
jawillwill Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 How is Salisu pronounced? Are the commentators correct with Sal-leee-su?
Toussaint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 What sort of idiot would look forward to, and get excited before this game, me, I’m that idiot who never learns

Toussaint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Wolves have weathered the storm (gentle breeze) and are getting on top
Saint Fan CaM Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 How many errors will we see from Redmond. He only creates opportunities for the opposition FFS! And Djenepo is not much better. Midfield are useless at providing any sort of service to Ings.

John Boy Saint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Reckon Redmond said to Long when he left for Bournemouth - “Shane - if you have no use for it can I have your first touch of a trampoline?”. 1
niceandfriendly Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Redmond is diabolical. Genuinely can't think of a single strength of his.
igsey Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 We're missing Adams, Ings thrives alongside a proper striker and Redmond's spending too much time wide or deep and not making the same moves or passes Adams makes. Apart from that, I've been impressed with Salisu and Armstrong, Djenepo and Bertrand are playing very well. 1
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Well that's three and a half games for FF without conceding! 1
benjii Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Get Adams on for Redmond or Djenepo. It's another game there for the taking but our lack of quality in the final third is painful. 1
