LiberalCommunist Posted 3 February, 2021 Posted 3 February, 2021 Since our return to the big time, we have actually cemented quite a few all time EPL records. A lot more than our previous 20 odd year stint. A couple of big ones would be the fastest ever goal & quickest hat-trick. Fairly confident those two will never be beaten. There's also a few that will be broken over time, like being the only team to score five goals in the first half, and 5 in the second half in the same season. But last night a young man added one that I'm pretty sure will hang around for years to come. To be sent off on your first start in the league after 79 seconds, that is impressive. The only way that gets beat is if Mike Dean has you on the spread bet! Any other worthy mentions?
SherborneSaint Posted 3 February, 2021 Posted 3 February, 2021 Didn't Bednarek also pick up a record? First player to score an own goal, give away a penalty (!) and get sent off (!!)...

danjosaint Posted 3 February, 2021 Posted 3 February, 2021 I'm sure I heard we are the only team to beat 7 reigning champions the following season 1
LiberalCommunist Posted 6 March, 2021 Author Posted 6 March, 2021 Regardless of what happens this weekend, another all time stat will be claimed in midweek v's City. A team with the worst form to face a team with the best form. The league has never seen such a vast contrast in form over ten games as this fixture. Easy win for the Saints then. 😆 2
tajjuk Posted 6 March, 2021 Posted 6 March, 2021 They said in the game today that no other side aside from City, has scored the first goal in games than Saints. Which just shows how bad we are at holding leads.
LiberalCommunist Posted 18 September, 2021 Author Posted 18 September, 2021 JWP becomes the 9th out field player to play 100 consecutive games in the prem era. Today was only the 2nd time in 40 games that City have failed to score in. First time we've drawn four in a row in the top flight since 2002. Worth a bump.......

If the one before us was v Spurs, as their heir first in forty, then the previous one to that might be when we beat them at St Mary's during the lockdown. 1
