IMO this is actually bad news because Wotte will be an even bigger disaster.

Trust me, he has a reputation that is disturbing and the talk of the football world - give me JP anytime.

Yup. Mr. Chocolate's Red and White Army? He's less qualified than even Jan, but he comes dressed up as a fashion doll and with an ego and attitude that spells even more disaster

Feel sorry for JP. Never stood a chance with what he had, but he wrongly believed he could do something, and took a few of us with him for a while. It's a tough job eventually learning that you've been shafted from the moment you took the job on. Typically, the club promotes from within, which would be a great policy if the scenario was an ultra successful one, but clearly this will be more of the same thing. Wotte is being shafted as I write. I hope he knows it. If the Board think they've done the right thing today, then each one of them needs medical attention.

Can the Board now properly seek a takeover please, because the fans are heartily sick..? Quite simply - we've had enough.

Totally agree - I am likely to join the march after being unsure but a boycott with 6000 gates should finish Lowe off. The board members who agreed this should be banned from SMS for life when Lowe is gone. They should have told Rupert "you're going with him" but they are weak men - Wilde and co. Don't even get me started on David Jonesand his abacus with beads missing.

oops - apologies for my new thread creation!!

LOL... I gets worse.... It really gets worse. Lowe loses another manager.... not surprised? LOL... nor me... but Wotte.... its like replacing an inconclusive tumour with a rampaging one! LOL... Lowe ... wotte a genius you are.!! Rule #3 of running a footy club - never replace from within.

AS A GENUINE ASIDE:

Well done JP... you leave as a respected man. I salute your courage... now please be honest as to why you have left... I dont blame you for going having............. now worked out what is really going on.

Wotte?! LOL ..... watch this space.... it'll get even worse.

It'll become obvious in due course. And won't be nice.

Oh for god sake man, What bad timing for me this is.........

I have just paid out £78 for this banner for the swansea march that says

We want Poortvliet out....!!

ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH......

If Wotte does badly then just scissor the 'out' of the end. Return of the Jan. :)

Well Pilchards, if you paid £78 to get the wrong guy out in the first place, you could have saved yourself several quid by reducing the surname down to 4 letters. Tbh, you've asked for the wrong person to be removed. ;)

If Wotte gets the job full-time it will be an even worse scenario than JP. He is despised by the players and has alleged serious personal flaws from what I am hearing from those in a position to know.

Yep.. It gets worse. NOT better.

LOL... please everyone just enjoy another funny evening of Lowe's decision-making... it is just so good for general lessons in life of what NOT to do....

LOL.... I cant believe he's done the stupidest thing he could! LOL....LOL....LOL... I'm gonna see you fall Lowe for everything you've done to the thing my family and I feel so dearly for... I cant wait.

Thank **** for that.

I am of the opinion that a relatively competent manager could just about keep us up this season. We have no idea that Wotte will be a competent manager but nothing else was ever going to happen - we were never going to abandon the Dutch experiment.

Have a proper look at Wotte's record - it's a mixture of relegation and even some administration thrown in! Seriously, Wilde and Lowe are useless although I've a feeling this may have been more Wilde than Lowe for once.

Wotte may indeed be worse but we were 100% nailed on going down with Poortvliet in charge.

I agree with you that Wilde and Lowe are useless. I disagree and say that this isn't anything other than Lowe's decision. IMO, Wilde does sweet f.all except have his name on the Boardroom door - oh yeah... and he puts his name to a statement whenever there something that the Football Club Chairman really should be doing.

No... Wigley is all the example you need. Change from inside is no-change. You actually just get a lesser man... and we have... trust me we have.

Could be b0ll0cks but I was just told that we played a behind closed doors friendly against a Belgian side today and won 5-2 and Jan was in charge??

Personally I find it hard to beleive as we couldn't score 5 past a girls team.

Anyone heard any thing?

Yep, I heard it was a Hungarian side.

You mean the one that had a full squad to choose from not a bunch of kids and had us in a relegation position going into the last game of the season.

No, he means the one who achieved 1.23 points per game with a demoralised squad (and in one game with 2 goalies out injured, and the 3rd choice playing with an injury). The one who got Saints to 54 points (no team anywhere in the world has been relegated even on 53 points). The one who got the respect of both players and fans. The one who is taking Leicester up as L1 champions.

So Jan has finally been replaced and we now have a new man in charge of the team.

Reading Wilde's statement this morning I was pleased to see that he had bothered to say something unlike his no show at the AGM but then I thought why Mr Wilde and not Mr Lowe or simply "club statement" making further comment.

When Jan joined was it not Mr Lowe who was so closely associated with the decision and all over the official website talking about it.

How times change. At least our next game is away and not until Tuesday so there is time to get some focus before we play football. Ths website will be busy all weekend though me suspects...

Well what a surpise, we decide to take one failed person out and place another in the cahir all becuase this is the cheaper option as he is already on the payroll and they do not have to pay from someone who just could possibly save the club from relegation.

I just can not believe what is going on at this club and every change that is made is another nail in our coffin. We can only hope the protests really gain momentum against swansea and show a united front against the pathectic buch or tossers call a board of directors.

never have before have i felt such dispare for our beloved club.

Hear Hear ! A good guy let down by the board, fans and players alike.

Sorry but just how has he been let down by the fans??? If anything, Poorvleilt got a far smoother run than his formn as manager deserved. Any other manager would have would been under immense pressure ages ago, if anything it's Jan's likeability that kept in a job far longer than his form merited.

What confuses me is how he was up for the fight on Monday and on Friday he was resigning...

This has Lowe's influence written all over it...

Seriously did anyone think they'd feel lower than they did on Saturday?

I hadn't been on last night when this news broke, so what a surprise this morning. All I can do is reiterate what most have said.

Sorry for Poortvliet who is a decent bloke, but decent blokes don't often seem to earn the respect and gain the best from their players. Anyway, it was plain right from the start that he was totally out of his depth, so all the blame falls on the shoulders of Lowe for indulging his personal whims and proving yet again that he has not the slightest idea how to run the playing side of a football club.

As for replacing him with Wotte, why? Has Wotte shone so much under the shadow of JP? Or more likely, is Lowe's character so flawed by an inability to ever admit that he is wrong that he cannot rid us of all of this lower league Dutch dross? Rhetorical question, that; of course he can never admit that he is wrong, we all know that, as he has not one ounce of humility in his body.

So Lowe is prepared to repeat the mistakes he made previously and appoint from within yet again, except that Wotte, like JP had nil previous experince of English football, so what's the point? As pointed out already, Lowe's been back less than a year and a further two notches on his bedstead. Is he aiming for notoriety via the Guiness Book of Records? When Wotte is found to be equally useless, there's still time for the hat trick.

If Lowe believes that getting shot of Poortvliet will buy him time by placating the fans, then he had better have a rethink if the thoughts of the contributors to this thread are indicative of the general mood of the fans. I believe that the mood against Lowe has hardened considerably, not for sacking JP, but for appointing Wotte instead of a British manager experienced in this division and this situation.

The time for the mass boycott is now upon us. We have to get rid of Lowe, Wilde and all the other charlatans whilst we still have a club to save.

Even an experienced, decent set of players would struggle with this turmoil, let alone raw, green kids. Forget about the results now, it's League 1 next year, just a question of whether we start on -15 or not. Getting Wilde and Lowe out is all that matters for the rest of the season.

Le Tiss said on SSN that Sturrock wasnt forced out by Lowe and Lowe wanted him to stay on but couldnt convince him too. Said he couldn't cope with the pressure of the Prem.

Made me think again about a few things.

Le Tissier is right. Sturrock was out of his depth, he did not have the respect of the Premier players.

We needed a manager with pedigree, we could have appointed one, but a very vocal, but minority of fans saw that this did not happen.
