Free agent full backs?

I know if I was playing football manager I would be looking at getting a left back for certain and maybe a right back too on a free transfer to help us out till the end of the season. Can't see us doing so but what would be the harm in doing so if they are fit and cost very little in wages?

He's the only one in there I even recognise, doesn't bode well for the rest of them.

Danny Simpson and Eric Lihaj (sp?) were the only others on there I recognised.

In terms of attacking players, Diego Costa, Daniel Sturridge, Wily Bony, Ahmed Musa and Alex Pato all free agents. You would imagine that their wage demands probably aren't going to be small.

Not THE Diego "the Bastard" Costa?:............Simeone has obviously hung up his Lion Tamers suit

Martín Cáceres still playing?

He’s played 84 games in Serie A and 33 internationals for Uruguay(including 6 at 2018 World Cup) since we released him after just 1 appearance for us. Obviously didn’t fit our criteria, but do wish he’d played in that cup final and dealt with Ibrahimovic !  C’est la Vie

Stephens letting Ibra go so easily for that header may just be the subconscious reason I struggle to rate him.

We should even be allowed an emergency defender signing whether loan or a small fee. Its utterly ridiculous considering this really condensed season. We've got more injuries than anyone else.

When we got our first win of the season at Turf Moor, Burnley were without Tarkowski, Mee, Gudmundsson, Cork & Rodriguez through injury and their bench was so young the commentators kept referring to the fact that they only had a tiny number of PL appearance between them. I think Burnley's injury problems hit them hard at the beginning of the season.

1. We have no money to bring anyone in.
2. we have no loan spots left.
3. if we asked for an emergency signing, the FA would rightly say “ why did you loan out 3 players in the last week of the window”....

Looks like we are making some attempt to hijack Ahmed Musa's move to WBA. I know he's not a full back (striker) but interesting that we do seem to be interested, but sounds like money is the issue for us like it is for Big Sam. So maybe we are still on lookout for a free agent after all, just not at FB. No idea whether the sources are good or not.

Yes I would definitely take Musa. I wonder whether Ralph will get him in to train with us to have a look.
