Pamplemousse Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 I'm not sure it's possible for me to be less optimistic. Just hope for a decent performance and if we lose, we lose. Just need people back asap.

Expand Armstrong has only just picked up form again after a long run of mediocre to poor games. He was brilliant before covid. I would be reluctant to “unseat“ him from his natural position. Also he is the slowest of all of the 10s so not sure it’s a great idea asking him to play there perhaps
Manuel Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 The inlaws are Utd 'supporters' (never been near Manchester of course). I'm lacking optimism as usual, but it would make it extra special if we could get something tonight.
nta786 Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Can see Cavani scoring tonight too dunno what it is about these Ibra/Lukaku/Carroll/Haller/Jiminez type players but it feels like target men have it easy against us

The Cat Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 2 keepers on the bench. Surely we had someone else knocking about who could have got some experience from being in the match day squad?

Sure, the bench is threadbare, but the first 11 ain't too bad. 2

Lighthouse Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Ramsay... didn't see that coming. I think we're just going to have to grin and bear it for a game or two. I can't pretend Valery would have been much better.
Picard Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 A lot of rain at the moment,Hope that will even things out.
SaintTex Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 who is Tchaptchet? I guess i am a not a super supporter.
saintwbu Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Happy he’s playing Ramsay - no point shuffling players out of position when we have a RB, even if he’s not up to it. Plenty of average players can have good games, it’s maintaining that level that’s their problem. Excited to see Jankewitz.

northam soul Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Forster too be brought on up front for the last 10 if we’re losing 1
S-Clarke Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Probably as balanced a lineup we could field. Not as many 'square pegs' as I was fearing. Let's just see what happens. If we still have a + goal difference at the end of this evening then it's a job well done as far as I'm concerned.

SKD Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Very concerned about tonight, perfect storm for us to get an absolute hammering. I suspect we’re about to hit rock bottom (for our recent form). Anything under 3 will be a result. 4-0
Baird of the land Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Well can't say i expect anything based on that lineup. Ramsay at least gets an outing for his career scrapbook.
BotleySaint Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 (edited) No panic. We "hope" players are coming back from injury so that's why we didn't sign any cover in January. Actually, that's why we weakened the squad (3 out, 1 in) No panic...... ! Today could go horribly wrong. Edited 2 February, 2021 by BotleySaint

Saint Fan CaM Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Well, I'm just going to try and enjoy the game if possible. I just hope that the team fight for everything, dont allow any sloppy passes and the officials don't spoil the game with biased decisions. In truth, I can see Ramsey or Jankowitz giving away a pen and the Ref joyously giving it in full knowledge that his mate on the screens will back him up. I can also see a heavy defeat. 4-0.

wadesmith Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 I honestly think we could be all right, we’ve beaten better Man U teams than this with shitter line-ups than this.
