trousers Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Penalised for trying to pull out of the tackle. I give up with these fucking laws 1
S-Clarke Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Given how shit VAR is used, I imagine we will appeal the Jan card and it will get overturned.
StrangelyBrown Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Contact after the dive started... Dean's a fucking crook 1
Whitey Grandad Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Cheating c**t Martial. That’s a f*cking dive. 1
stknowle Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 That is fucking unbelievable. I cannot stand that cunt Dean's pompous mug.
BotleySaint Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 (edited) The players cannot believe it. There was no intention to foul the player. He was pulling out. It's debateable if he even touched him. Edited 2 February, 2021 by BotleySaint
davefizzy14 Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Mike Dean is a class a prick! Never a red or a pen
trousers Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Difference between this and the Leicester game is that we didn't throw in the towel at half time. Small consolations
Dark Munster Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 NBC taters saying that red card is a joke.
Jonnyboy Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Dive. Stitch up. (Now you all know how Jeremy Corbyn feels.) 1
Dry Toast Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 (edited) Dean wants 10 and to be the one who got them to it. Edited 2 February, 2021 by Dry Toast m on the end of the
jawillwill Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 So he is sent of because there was, apparently, no intent to play the ball. Had he instead decided to completely clatter through Martial , he would have stayed on? Is that really the rule? 1

Chapel End Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Play for a draw against newcastle is our best hope now.... Poor Ralph.... i hope he can take it
Chez Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 massive fucking dive, never a red, Mike Dean is a cunt, but did they even give him that camera angle that showed Bednarek tried his best to get out the way? 2
BotleySaint Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 1 more to go till the record defeat again. Plenty of time to get it.

Sarnia Cherie Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 I hate Ferguson who is commentating. He seems to think I am interested in how many years it is since Untired scored 5, 6, 7, 8. I don't. As for Mike Dean I knew he would give the penalty and red card. Right up his street.
trousers Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Ralph looks distraught. Wouldn't be surprised if he walked
hypochondriac Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Not sure how to feel about this one. Absolutely crazy.

We had worse and we came back stronger. We're better than this. We've just been dealt every single shit bit of luck you can get. There's very little else which could go wrong in a game of football.
Sheaf Saint Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 (edited) Mike Dean can fuck off as far as I am concerned. He's such a self-important, officious prick who always, and I mean ALWAYS, tries to make himself the star of the show. Edit: ok that was a bit harsh. Edited 2 February, 2021 by Sheaf Saint

DT Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Convinced he was told to do the same on his little earpiece as the David Luiz for ‘consistency’

obelisk Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 The defending is bloody awful. There's another 9-0. Should have put money on it earlier.

Whitey Grandad Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 What really annoys me is that Martial feels that he has to cheat to win a penalty. They were winning comfortably anyway. That is despicable. 4

gammon cheeks Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 There is nothing wrong with the concept of var........its the pricks Mason and Dean that actually look through and give these decisions ! Absolute disgusting mistakes made by these two in the last 2 games......just fuelled by their own egos .....They should both resign ! I 1

I think it will be overturned - is there a way Martial can get a retrospective yellow? It has to be appealed. A nauseating night, but nothing like the Leicester match. Decimated squad; two red cards; every decision going against Saints......should have had two goals of our own. Move on.
Killers Knee Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Complete capitulation. We need to have tactics for when we lose a player early. We cannot limit damage, our goal diffrence is fucked again. They need to learn how to park a bus. 1
Dark Munster Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Even Lawro agrees Quote Oh my goodness me. No, no, no, no, no. How about a modicum of common sense?
HarvSFC Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 Different scenarios, but perfect example of a big club getting a contentious penalty, while we don't get a seemingly concrete one against Aston Villa in the previous match. Hopefully able to appeal Bednarek's red card. They should change that rule, like they have changed every other rule that a team has kicked up a fuss about so far this season. E.g. the handballs at the beginning of the season and the offside rule that came into play after the Mings and Smith debacle. 1

Absolute disgusting mistakes made by these two in the last 2 games......just fuelled by their own egos .....They should both resign ! I The whole concept of VAR is wrong. It cannot be accurate for such close borderline decisions. Huddle raised the point about the timing of the ball being hit being vague and both he and Ferdinand say that for any defender in the future the decision will be to clear the player out rather than get sent off for trying to avoid him.
S-Clarke Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 I know a lot will be made of VAR, which is right as it's absolutely fucking shit in it's current incarnation and used incredibly badly....but once again, we didn't do ourselves any favours with our defending. I will say the same as I did after the Leicester game, no professional outfit should ever lose 9-0, you do whatever it is you have to do to keep that score line under control. Not sure how we let that happen again tbh. I really, really feel for Ralph. He's worked absolute wonders here, absolute miracles. He got this lot top FFS! That deserves a medal in it's self. But the truth is that he hasn't been backed, he hasn't been provided with the tools that would ever enable him to do what he needs to do. He may well be looking at it and thinking it's best to jump before his rep gets ruined here. 2 1
