I didn't get where they drew the lines on. Was sure the Man U players knee kept him onside to the naked eye?

Not that it matters  ultimately

Is there now consensus that VAR is for cunts?

No but the way it’s being used is absurd. It’s like a speed camera catching you doing 30.01mph and getting a fine. It’s the enforcement not the technology.

This sport is being destroyed by faceless, self important bastards and big money, and the more I watch it the more it nauseates me. It isn’t just about today but the sense that football exists to benefit everyone except those who pay for it - those of us who have loved it since we first started walking. Fuck them all.

Confirmation that the freeze-frame was taken AFTER the ball had been struck... They need to start taking into account the inaccuracy of the technology. You can't measure to millimetre accuracy when the frame rate doesn't give you the requisite level of accuracy

The problem is when they go into that level of detail over such a marginal decision. In my opinion VAR should be used for clear misses.

Missed red, missed offside (i.e like a yard), missed pen etc. They're analysing it way too deeply and gone is the 'attackers' advantage on offside. Without VAR that's a goal, every day of the week and no one would bat an eyelid.

Ralph needs to kick up a fuss about officials and VAR after this one.

I agree but I can't see anyone listening. Just get written off as another whining manager.

They haven't even drawn the defensive line correctly, a defender, Maguire I think, is leaning over it!

Absolutely ****ing farcical.

It does matter because my Leeds fan mate has been messaging as we are now below them in 12th.

It's just the usual big club biased surely.

The default thinking "well, it's Man Utd so it's offside".

If it's the other way around and that's Rashford not Adams, it's a goal.

Yeah, hadn't noticed that... If they're gonna draw a perpendicular line for the striker then they've got to do it for the defender too, surely?

Bollocks... 5-0

It wasn't even checked! Such inconsistent use of the technology.

They are all checked. You just don’t get to see it at home.

McCarthy doing his crouch out of the way act again.

Give the knob head his transfer , cancels his contract and jog him on !

Genuine question as several posters have eluded to this. Has he actually asked for a move away / handed in a transfer request?

He's not a great finisher at all. Although he did have a goal taken off him tonight.

Generally, he's decent enough at holding it up, but I don't see a true goal scorer there.
