A whole load of nothing then.

Ralph's talking like he hasn't had opportunities to play him since.

There's been several.

If he's not in his plans Ralph should just tell him that.

Ralph's man management is piss poor imo.

Alternatively he has assessed everyone and doesn’t think he should start above others yet. But let’s just assume that he is a rubbish man manager shall we? Jankewitz had a golden opportunity to show what he had when picked against United and blew it big time. He needs to show that he has what it takes in training. Perhaps he hasn’t shown enough so far?

Young player who has proved nothing at the highest level considers that he's good enough - the manager gives him an amazing opportunity.

Young player not just fucks up his chance, he fucks it up to such a trainwreck extent that he's part of a catalyst for the whole season going to shit.

He then gives it large about how he should be playing.

He's done nothing to show he deserves another chance yet, and every time he tells everyone how great he is by asking for a transfer, I become slightly less of a fan of his - on the Saints legends list he's currently sharing a slot with Ali Dia.

But I would love for him to leave that behind and turn into a great player for us, and he may do that - but there is a time to shut the fuck up and let your game do the talking.

That starts with working hard in training and earning back the respect of the manager and the fans, he's a young kid, I can forgive stupidity, but not arrogance.

Hopefully he will turn it round.

If he hasn't shown enough don't put him on the fucking bench.

It's not hard.

Weren't a lot of options available.

There was a point earlier in the season where any U21 who could walk was likely to get on the bench. If they were written off we'd have probably ended up with the U16's making up the bench.

And who's fault is that?

He wanted a small squad.

What is to be lost by trying the lad out properly now?

He looked very promising in his sub appearances - certainly far more about him than some of the other youngsters that have played.

He has made two sub apps:

5mins vs Shrewsbury

1min vs Aston Villa

Timeline's all wrong. News of Jankewitz (or his agent) asking for a transfer didn't break until right after the FA Cup game with Shrewsbury where the manager gave starts to two academy teenagers in midfield ahead of him (who have also barely been seen since). The reported reason for the request was that he didn't see a pathway into the team any more and with interest from the Eredivise it would be better for his development to be there rather than stagnating in Academy football.

His agent has said nothing in public since the United game. Jankewitz himself hasn't spoken at all on the subject.

At no point has anyone "given it large about how he should be playing" outside of your own imagination. And especially not in your timeline.

"...he's part of a catalyst for the whole season going to shit." We lost one game. Either side of it we lost a further 12-13 games. If you're placing any responsibility for that on the shoulders of a teenager's 2 minute cameo, I think you're looking for a scapegoat rather than answers.

Why does Ralph need to try him out when he sees him in training and youth games all the time?

So true.  It's exhausting sometimes reading the ill-informed, finger-pointing fury on here.
