Why are we 2/1 at home with the bookies when Villa are 5/4? Seems unfair on Saintsz

Not complaining on a betting perspective, seems generous, but crazy they think we’re that bad not to deserve being favourites to a side that just got beaten by Burnley midweek and we’ve just not long beaten Arsenal and Liverpool at home.

I think it’s because they are more likely to win

The annoying thing with Walcott and Redmond is they play their way out of the side, rather than one of them playing into the side. Walcott has been poor recently so can't complain if he gets dropped. But I have pretty low expectations of Redmond who could easily have some poor games and then we swap them over in a month.

Well the one thing I didn't expect when I wrote this was for both of them to start! Not sure about that, Che seems to nail one beautiful pass per game, which is more than can be guaranteed with those two combined.

Anyone know whether Diallo has played right back before? It is quite a specialised position so I am a little worried.

Diallo rb or jwp ? Walcott up top with ings or is Ralph trying a new system here ..why drop adams ? Assuming he’s fit or he wouldn’t be on the bench?

if any one should be dropped it is Walcott. His miss placed pass to Adams in last game was appalling

Diallo at right back syncs with what Ralph was saying about his qualities making him versatile. We shall see.

Adams over Walcott is an odd one although maybe Che needs a rest, he puts so much effort into matches. But the same could be said of Theo who has been off colour recently. He'll score now and shut me up.

Djenepo back on the bench. Good.

Is Jankewicz being rewarded for putting in a transfer request?

I hope Ings puts ideas of a move aside as I think it is impacting his play. When he first joined there was a lot of pressure because of the fee we had committed to and whether he would be worth it. And his form was patchy at the beginning. Once he got going and was playing with no pressure and a smile on his face the goals poured in. Now I think the pressure is back on, because he knows he has to keep scoring to get a move at his age. But that pressure may be impacting him. Put it aside and hopefully we see that smile (and goals) return

Diallo at RB is an interesting one, but I think it confirms what we think of Valery. He really isn't near the level we need and hopefully come Tuesday he won't even make the bench for us anymore.

I think we've removed a good bit of dynamism from our midfield with Diallo at RB, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm not surprised to see Che dropped, he has been struggling in recent weeks for me. Needed a break. Hopefully we're a bit fresher today, and at least it looks like we have a couple of options on the bench again.

I reckon Prowsey will be at RB tonight :)

I think he will, too. He’s very good at covering the other team’s danger man.

But what worries me is our vulnerability to a Grealish counter when JWP takes opposite side corners and fee kicks.

Diallo's pace and dribbling ability better suits him to right back than Ward-Prowse. Allows us to keep Ward-Prowse in his best position.
