trousers Posted 16 January, 2021 Author Posted 16 January, 2021 Coming up at half time... A cheeky chunk of Roquefort and a wee glass of Graham's vintage port
MariansPahars Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Anyone got a decent stream? I'm too tight fisted to pay for BT Sport.
Saint_clark Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Adams should have done better. Earlier pass to Walcott was on.

Always strikes me as odd too. I guess it’s the safe play
OttawaSaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Close, if Armstrong angled that in a bit it would have been clean in on the keeper.

nta786 Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Bloody hell good save Macca that could have been stupid
OttawaSaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Good save McCarthy. Sloppy in possession there.

trousers Posted 16 January, 2021 Author Posted 16 January, 2021 Just missing that final killer pass at the moment
Mr X Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 We just need that goal when we are on top as we are usually poor in second halfs

Saint_clark Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Have to say been very impressed with Smallbone so far.

adrian lord Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 We are looking powerful in attack - just need to finish moves
Plastic Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 we've looked brilliant so far. Walcott involved in everything.
trousers Posted 16 January, 2021 Author Posted 16 January, 2021 I know this is premature (as far as this game is concerned) but we don't look out of place as a top 6/7/8 side, do we? Even with half our first team out.
LGTL Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 We’ve been really good without creating too much thus far. Just need to sharpen up the final ball.

adrian lord Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 What a difference this match is so far compared to the turgid rubbish served up on TV in all the other games earlier
Jimmy_D Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Feels like we've set up with the better tactics today, so far at least.

Even with half our first team out. Playing some very good football and win the ball back with ease. Makes it even more frustrating that Ralph has been hamstrung in terms of investment because of poor transfer/contract decisions in the past.
trousers Posted 16 January, 2021 Author Posted 16 January, 2021 (edited) Nice play from Diallo there Edited 16 January, 2021 by trousers
OttawaSaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Sublime move. Really close to unlocking them.
Mr X Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 We just need to score before Leicester start coming back into it more and more
OttawaSaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Co-comm on DAZN is creaming himself over Saints’ one touch play.
adrian lord Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 (edited) Walcott’s return has been bigger than the sum of the parts. His presence has transformed us in the sense we don’t just survive, but still look very dangerous when Ings is out. Edited 16 January, 2021 by adrian lord

Viking Saint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 We're looking very tidy tonight. Crisp, incisive and accurate passing, but worry we haven't got the finisher we need without Ings. One mistake could settle this game, hopefully not ours.

Think Adams has shown that he can finish if given a decent chance in front of goal.
OttawaSaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Bertie not happy with Smallbone. I only make one of these runs a game and you ignored it!
Saint_clark Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Armstrong's gone up top with Walcott on the right now
trousers Posted 16 January, 2021 Author Posted 16 January, 2021 (edited) Is it me or has Smallbone bulked up a tad? He certainly needed a bit more muscle Edited 16 January, 2021 by trousers
OttawaSaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Wow, Smallbone looks the business tonight! 1

BotleySaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 Done everything right so far, except score a goal.

SNSUN Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 I don’t have BT Sport, so the wife has me watching Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Which is just as well because Saints are a bunch of useless bastards and Adams couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo. 😄 I had cheeseburgers and chips for dinner by the way, but we didn’t have buns so used Warburton’s Thins.
trousers Posted 16 January, 2021 Author Posted 16 January, 2021 Come on Saints. Need a goal to have something to show for this excellent half so far
HKsaint Posted 16 January, 2021 Posted 16 January, 2021 If Walcott could give better passes to Armstrong
