BotleySaint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Stunning win. Tactical masterclass. Pure grit and determination. Astonishing!!

Toadhall Saint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Fucking yes - brilliant just brilliant! 1
VictiAbNonem Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 I love how much that meant to Ralph at the end! 2
badgerx16 Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 (edited) Abso-fucking-lutely bloody marvellous. 'Taters said that is 7 seasons in a row that we have won at least 1 game against the previous season's champions. Edited 4 January, 2021 by badgerx16 1
OttawaSaint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Ralph’s crying. I’m not crying, you’re crying...
igsey Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Amazing win, felt a lot like the Man City game last season. Ings was great, both Ward-Peterses were outstanding along with Diallo in the midfield. Shout out to Andre Mariner too who wasn't falling for any of their shit! Looking forward to Klopp's interview! 3

Dark Munster Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Fantastic performance. All played well, special mention to Ings, Armstrong, Stephens, Bednarek. Diallo MoM. 1
macca155 Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 I reckon we're all in pieces after that. My God that was a long 45 mins. Fabulous win get in.
trousers Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Carragher almost in tears in the studio too.... 😂😂😂😂😂 1 10
BotleySaint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Carragher can hardly sit there. Just can't stomach it. No credit given to us. 1

jemanson Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 (edited) Nice! Walker-Peters, Diallo, Stephens and Ings excellent and the rest did well. Subs slotted in well too. Edited 4 January, 2021 by jemanson 1
AlexLaw76 Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 That was a brilliant (defensive) performance. Forster barely had a save to make. Diallo grew into the game and I think he is going to be a very good player.
Baird of the land Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 That was fantastic. Only thing that would have made it better would have been valery nutmegging alisson for a goal. Diallo in particular stood out as my MOM among a great team performance. Was worried before the game about romeu being out but if diallo keeps playing like that he'll keep romeu out of the team. Great to see the 3 young subs helping us across the line.
StrangelyBrown Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Great gutsy performance - even the kids came on and did us proud. Couldn't be more proud to be a saint tonight! 1
badgerx16 Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 (edited) Liverpool 67% possession, 1 shot on target ( and that hardly rated as more than a pass to FF from Mane ) Edited 4 January, 2021 by badgerx16
farawaysaint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Fantastic win and three points! Been a funny old season really, no idea who will take the league.

Saint_clark Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Don't blame Ralph for getting emotional after the covid scares he's had, the team being gutted by injury and the shadow Liverpool/klopp have held over us/Ralph for a while now.
Sheaf Saint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Oh FFS. Why do they insist on getting Carragher to pundit on every Liverpool game. We've just won a monumental victory against them and straight away he's just wanking in about them and doesn't say a single word about us. What a massive prick. Anyway, what a result that is. You know it's all because of the insurance bets I put on in the last 10 mins, so if anyone wants to chuck some cash my way as a thank you that would be wonderful 😉 4 points off the top after 17 games. Can't sniff at that!

Secret Site Agent Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Jaime Carragher weill now spend 1 hour talking about Liverpool not being good enough He wont mention Saints at all Well done lads. Well played and once we started bringing on the youth we started pushing forward Oh, and HAHAHAHAHAHA. Confucius say, if Salah is in the Saints box, and there isn't a saint player near him, and he falls down, does he get a penalty? 1
Wsaint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Think Forster started real shaky and was expecting a bad night for him but he actually did quite well, considering he hadn't played prem footie in ages, happy for him. Diallo great, don't think anyone had a bad game. Walcott messed up a couple chances but still played his part. Ralph bloody Hasenhüttl, what a legend. Full Time reaction says it all. Hope he stays for a long time but I'm gunna enjoy it while it lasts. 1
SKD Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Diallo MOTM for me, absolutely superb. His work rate, hassle and composure on the ball exceptional. He’s going to be a top top player. credit to the back 4 who all defended like their life depended on it. What a player KWP has become. Side note. Not sure tella is ready just yet. Ndululu looks to have a bit about him, much rather him off the bench than long tbh.
Kingsland Codger Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Fantastic performance from everyone. Especially pleased to see the subs all contributing to the victory. Ralph on his knees on the touchline at full-time is one of our great Saints moments.
Vancouver Saint Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 Ralph in tears at the end says it all. Southampton B beat Liverpool A - and we deserved it. Every player played his heart out for Ralph. What an amazing result. SO PROUD OF MY TEAM Now for a mature afternoon winding up my Liverpool-supporting friends... 2 1
AlexLaw76 Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 The Ref is bound to be dropped from the next round of fixtures. He forgot to implement the 'top 6 rule' with some of those decisions 😆 2 2

suewhistle Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 I've been on tea until now. I think I'll let myself have a beer.. That was hard enough watching let alone playing in! 1

S-Clarke Posted 4 January, 2021 Posted 4 January, 2021 (edited) Well, who'd have thought that. It was a backs to the walls effort akin to our win against Man City last season, once again take a bow Stephens and KWP. But let me take a second to appreciate Diallo - holy crap, what a performance from him. On the ball decent when he had it, but his positional sense and ability to always read danger was huge (off the ball traits)....that's an uncoachable trait which makes me think we have a proper player in there. Add to that his clear quality on the ball when he gets to it, very agile and very mobile through midfield. Mark me very impressed. Great effort by everyone. Edited 4 January, 2021 by S-Clarke 3
