Kit for next season

Any speculation on what it may be? I've heard of similarities to our last game at the dell kit with messages from the dell sewn into it. How do you think that would go down?

To clarify, I believe against Arsenal we wore the following seasons kit as a preview.

If I'm right then would it be that kit, or the kit we had all season?

Source? :)

I got my mate (high up) in trouble once, late morning of 07/07/2005. I started with saying "My mate who's the manager of the Mick Channel Suite..." I remember as same day as London. The club ended up forcing his resignation.

We're still close friends.

I almost got a relative fired for posting the contents of the front of the echo the day before it was out before liebherr took over.

Everyone seems to be describing a red and white striped shirt which being we are currently in a non-stripe season seems pretty obvious to me and something anyone, ITK or not, could predict.

I'd love it if we gave UA the elbow for next season and replaced with Hummel, that's the only info I'm interested in (it would open up a lovely retro kit for 22-23 anyway).

My source tells me it’s red and white stripes so ties in with what I know, but as people didn’t like me sharing my snippets I’ll watch from the sidelines.

No I said a specific shirt with inscriptions from the dell embroidered on it and advertising and marketing etc will be focused on the dell.

Do we feel like we have to commemorate something every season now? 20 year anniversary of leaving the Dell?

Well when you are trying to come up with something different every season as it is now you have to look out for whatever comes your way and 20 years since leaving The Dell is it this time around I suppose.

It's disappointing we didn't commemorate 120 years since our first FA Cup final last season. Particularly as the team that beat us went out of business the same season. Perhaps a we could have worn half and half shirts with "Burying the past" t-shirts during the warm ups to show support for Burys plight.

Why are 'concept kits' always more appealing than the real thing...?

Always makes me wonder why we don't make our kits in house. You'd sell a lot more with a fan designed, fan voted shirt and keep all the profits instead of a portion going to the manufacturer.

Depends how much they pay us to make our kits I suppose.

Have to say not much of a fan of that one though, in the age of half and half shirts it looks a little too much like one of them.

In fairness that isn't a "fan designed" kit.

It's just our Hummel kit from 87-88.

Agree that season after season the mock ups on here and the internet are usually superior to the one eventually served up by UA and the club. Left wondering what sort of retard is charged with designing and selecting the kits.

Wasn't a great fan of the Danish Pyjama kit above at the time, from a distance on the terraces at The Dell it often appeared we wewre wearing red and pink halves. Would be improved without the stripes on the white half in my view.

Anyway, Keegan era again for me given the choice (which we won't be of course).

1989-91 Southampton Home Shirt (Excellent) S - Classic Retro Vintage Football Shirts

Not a fan of the 'Danish' Hummel shirt myself, as others have said, looked half red/half pink from a distance. They also gave us a couple of horrible blue away shirts but the striped one was OK. Next season's kit was signed off a while ago so should soon find out.

But I'm converted, would happily stick with the sash now (red/white sash, white/red sash), alternated with the 'Keegan' style one season, stripes the next.

I say this as a watcher rather than a wearer so feel free to ignore me.

I have said since the 125 year Sash shirt that the club should look to retain this going forward.

The advantage the club has now is that it has 40 years of different styles and options to use when designing kit. Some good, some bad. I judge each kit on its individual merit. If I don’t like it, I don’t buy it.

You will always struggle to please everyone.

Of course stripes will make a come-back at some point, but personally I really like the sash. It set's us apart. Is there any of the other 91 league clubs with a sash? Someone on here will know. And if (OK it's still a big if) we were to get into Europe wearing the sash......or dare I say, even better than that (top 4 ?!!!!!).......how about a bespoke sash European kit for European ties only? More for the poor fans to buy of course but a great souvenir for those who can afford/want it and possibly extra revenue for the club during challenging times.  Just a thought.....
