Contact with Ings from the defender and Ings with the ball happened about the same time, it was as blatant a foul as you could wish to see and a guaranteed pen for a top club. I saw the slow-motion replay on TV and Ings had already completed the heading motion when he was fouled. How I wish, like you, that Ings was fouled during (not after) the heading motion, then we would have deserved a penalty, but that didn't happen unfortunately. Why didn't Ings protest loudly at the time? Why didn't our players surround the ref? Why didn't Ralph complain at post-match interview? Because it wasn't a pen, simple as. The replays are available to watch if you're unsure. Ings couldn't believe it. Walcott and others hands up in the air. And just to clarify, you believe that once a player has finished making contact with the ball that you're allowed to foul them? How long have you been watching football? Genuine question. Players need to play to develop their form and inevitably, stop start appearances off the bench are going to lead to inconsistent performances. I personally would prefer him over Moussa at present and give him that run in the team as we know he has it in him. How many seasons has he had at this club ................time enough to develop his techniques . Dosent create enough and why oh why dose he always walk away from a goalden opportunity looking up to the sky (where he normally put the ball ) rather than hit the target and celebrate a goal.Seems all the trainning the team gets when it comes down to the nuts and bolts of composure they all seem to lack it why?...........they are well paid to convert the weeks effort into something more substantial!
