Two youth team players up front chasing an equaliser against man city.

It is fair to say we lack depth. Quality players to come on. We shouldn't be relying on those lads.

He played a delightful ball in just now that caused a bit of panic in the City defence.

And again. No-one able to get on the end of that one but it was a lovely ball.

Two youngsters up front. Ralph has given up.

What's the alternative? Shane 'goals' Long?? Nothing to lose, get them on and give them the experience

Time for a lucky slating.

Ward Prowse is overrated, gave us absolutely nothing all game.

Yes that Tella is never going to make it at this level unfortunately..

Ings would still be tearing all over the field, defending as well as attacking, at this stage of the game. Tella not displaying the same levels of tenacity unfortunately.

City defenders have been fouling like crazy, pushes in the back while heading. Too bad Dean’s on their payroll, a free kick in JWPs office would be very welcome.

Yes, have any of them been carded at all?

We’ve come a long way. Disappointed in a draw at the Emirates vs a bus parking Arse and now 1-0 to a world class team that have been time wasting since about 65 minutes. It’s frustrating to get 1 point from 6 but we’re much much better these days.

Says a lot that City are proper time wasting.

They've been really poor. None of their players making an effort at all. Lack of professionalism. But they've won so..

Deserved a draw there and a win versus Arsenal wouldn't have been an unfair result. We're a whisker away from being 'the real deal'. So near, yet so far...

Difference, a world class move and finish vs us with two teenagers up front...

We need better quality on the bench. But with our limited budget it's not realistic.

Tella is 21. Already at the age that he should be making an impact if he is good enough, i don't think he is.

You just know that the handball by Sterling if done by a Saints player in our box then Dean would have had no hesitation pointing to the spot. I know it hit his leg but what’s his arm doing there? Preventing Bertrand getting the ball, that’s what.

spot on. Best I have seen us play for a log time. We didn't just press a top side we dictated play for huge periods. Ok, so they may have scored a couple at the death when we pushed men on, but overall we looked incredibly secure and composed. Very pleased with that display. I never like losing, but it certainly takes the edge off the pain when the display is as good as that. Far better than midweek. Cant wait for the next game. Don't always feel like that. Haven't felt like that for a while.

Yeah I know, just plain bias that. Never mind, we played well. The lucky break in front of goal didn't fall for us today. We move on to the next one on Boxing Day :) Vestergaard my man of the match today - he was immense again today:)

Fully agree. To have a side like City time wasting, running down the clock and corner-flagging might not have won us any points but it showed how much we are respected.
