I think we’ve started adventurously which is good and all but perhaps we should’ve frustrated and contained them more before going for it at a later stage.
we’re trying to go toe to toe against the worlds best team at ball retention.

anyways we have picked up somewhat since the goal. Come on Saints!

Wow, control by Theo. Fouled by Sterling, ref had his eyes closed...

In fairness to Mike Dean, he did then give a harsh yellow to KDB straight afterwards. No intention there at all.

# one of Trousers' bizarre statements klaxon #

I actually feel more comfortable when we're one nil down rather than one nil up against teams like City

Not looking like we’ll be getting anything from this...we’re not putting enough pressure on their keeper, as usual too pedestrian in attack and they’ve simply got too much quality. Need to find another 20%.

No pen? Wtf? Reckless, went right through him.

I can understand why it wasn't given though. The contact didn't really prevent Ingsy  from getting his header in. Would have been a foul elsewhere on the pitch though.

I find it really hard to rate Djenepo. He's clumsy on and off the ball.

You've just rated him - 'clumsy'

Redmond must be feeling a little hard done by at the moment.

Yep. He'd offer much more than Djenepo on the left.

“It’s a foul outside the area” Its incredible that because it’s inside the area it’s a factor in a referees decision making. A foul anywhere should be a foul. I wasn’t aware there was a separate rule book for inside the box as opposed to out.

I disagree at the view given that a boot flying towards Ings’ face did not affect his header and that was why it was not reviewed. Of course it’s going to affect the quality of your header, you aren’t going to commit to heading that ball when you’ve got a size 12 two feet away from ploughing between your eyes.

Bertrand has no faith in Djenepo. Plays it to anyone apart from him.

Yep. And again just then. Ball down the line was the obvious play there but he preferred to play it backwards and inside instead.

I believe we have played quite well, with a few 'nearly moments' up top. Definitely playing better than last season when we beat them.

Of course, when they beat the trap we look exposed, but I guess that is our style.
