Both wide men have been very poor. Ralph surely has to sub djenepo at least at ht as he keeps sillily giving them chances to dive and get him red carded. Redmond on please, shortly followed by ings.

don’t get our high defensive line from their free kicks. Seems to be inviting a goal.

vestergaard made a very poor half passable with equalizer.

Not entirely sure we deserve to be 1-1, apart from the final 5-10 mins, we have been utterly diabolical. I'll certainly take 1-1.

Playing with 9 men really. Less said about Moussa and Armstrong the better, shockers - both of them.

Adams and Walcott totally isolated because of the lack of anything from Armstrong or Moussa.

Good goal to go in on, but christ - so much to improve on. Would certainly sub one of Moussa or Armstrong.

I think Djenepo has contributed more but he's a red card waiting to happen. I would hook him for Redmond.

He's run a lot, mainly into blind ally's though. Armstrong hasn't run at all and just keeps falling over. Both dreadful.

Well that was daylight robbery - we've been awful. Can't pass, can't create, players getting caught on the ball time and again.

Given how shite we are in the second half, looks like we'll be struggling to hang onto a point.

No-one is playing well. No-one.

Let's see if Hasenhuttl can actually do something to change a game, or if he'll do his usual when plan A falls apart and just shrug.

What was Ward-Prowse thinking about giving away a really stupid handball like that? We look off the pace for some reason and aren't commanding the midfield, lacking the width, not closing down quickly enough and moving the ball really slowly. Our best chances are coming from dead ball situations and thankfully one has produced an equaliser, with a quite magnificent header from Vestergaard. With Djenepo on a yellow and not doing much otherwise, maybe time to bring on Redmond for the second half and get him to partner Bertrand more effectively. Walcott hasn't been firing on all cylinders either, so Ings on for him 10 minutes in?

Brighton are condensing it well, they are a well coached team.

3 at the back isn't easy for our formation either, we usually have a spare man - from either flank, or one of the two up top...but they're all covered by Brighton players, so we have little to no space.

So credit to Brighton in that aspect, but we need to keep the ball better and move it quicker - that will open the space. At the moment it's all being played in front of Brighton (when we have it) and they are set in their shape, it'll be impossible to get anything if it carries on like that.

I don't think Ralph will want to risk Ings whilst we're on level terms. We're nestled in 7th place with just the 'big 6' (Leicester > Arsenal) ahead of us. I think Ralph will be content with that at this stage of the season.

Yes, as you say, Brighton have done well tactically and we need to get more width into our play and move the ball quicker, or some better diagonal balls over the midfield.

I love it when we keep possession so diligently in order to just play a hopeful ball down the line when the striker hasn't made the run yet.

We often ignore great off the ball runs and then eventually funnel it back to McC to boot it up the field to the other team. Might as well just go for the through ball!
