Yep - I am far more inclined towards Labour but that is the Andy Burnham, Alistair Campbell types not the drips who think everyone is oppressed and have ridiculous ideals- which is a fair amount of them unfortunately

I quite like Andy Burnham but not bloody Alistair Campbell. Terrible bloke.

There have been many incidents where individual police officers and forces have clearly acted in a racist manner.

IMO, shooting a wanted criminal as he violently resists arrest by trying to run you over is not one of them.

Utterly astonishing that anyone in the, "traumatised black community," would choose this as a hill to die on. The total denial of the fact that Kaba was quite clearly a dreadful person and the reason he was shot had nothing to do with skin colour is just amazing.

It was absolutely correct that the police followed the car. Considering what it was linked to, having armed officers involved was also completely correct.

The police followed the car for some distance, choosing a narrow street to better prevent escape, once the car was surrounded. A measured response protecting the safety of others, and all involved.

The car was blocked. The armed police identified themselves as such, issued a warning with guns clearly showing to the driver. They did not immediately open fire or put the driver or anyone else involved at risk.

The driver chose to try and drive his way past the block. This action vastly increased the risk to officers. The car moved into a car ahead of it. Officers again did not open fire. The car was maneuvering to make further attempts to escape. This also puts officers or others at further risk.

While the car was not going at high speed towards an individual, it doesn't have to be doing more than it was to fatally injured someone.

No competent officer wants to be a situation of taking a shot in such circumstances.

Based on what's available, it's a surprise the CPS felt there was enough to prosecute. It's no surprise so many officers turned in their firearms. Others there were moment away from performing the same action.

The jury didn't take long to reach a not guilty verdict. It's right that the reason for prosecution is reviewed and that all involved, including potential targets, are protected as much as possible, before such action needs to be taken. There's already strict processes in place.

Your first point is precisely why this case should have gone to court. Those who would use this as an example of bias now have nothing to back that

Justice is a process. It is not an absolute. At the end of a case you often will find that one side or the other will feel that justice has not been done.

I’ve made this point serval times. OJ Simpson went through the judicial system and was found not guilty of the murder of his ex wife and friend. There are countless examples of miscarriages of justice. Because a jury comes to a decision, it doesn’t change what actually happened, it just provides a verdict after a legal procedure. “Justice” often depends of the competency of the prosecution/defence lawyers. But then you know that don’t you.

And for avoidance of doubt, I do think that this was the right verdict.

I agree nic, there are a lot of conspiracy theorists to be found in school playgrounds. The difference is most of us grow out of it when we leave school and become mature adults with the ability to make well rounded, reasoned judgements.

Clearly you are mentally disturbed so I will leave it there and back off as not to disturb you even more.

One of this country’s biggest racists has been remanded under the terrorism act and will not be able to attend his own rally tomorrow. The melt down on his X account by the knuckle draggers who support him is the funniest thing I have seen for a very long time.

Bless you nic. It is quite incredible that you accuse others of the lack of self awareness when you clearly have no idea how you come across to others yourself. Mentally disturbed? I don’t know if you are yourself, but your posts are those of someone is a several prawns short of a barbie.

You deserve a special medal for being completely above it all.

Although I feel we’ve been here before.

It’s like going round and round in circles.

So, can we go back to the original point i made and perhaps you can then explain for everyone to see why you think it is OK to berate others for 'Playground insults', and then do the exact same thing yourself? Yo avoided (as you always do) answering why you think such clear hypocrisy is OK?

You're far too generous, sir. It's actually not as difficult as it looks to achieve my level of intellect. A cheese sandwich would probably be a more proportional reward (with lettuce and mayo, if that's not stretching my credibility and entitlement too far)

The person I berated was making a childish, pathetic comment over a deeply serious matter which had seen tens of thousands of people killed, maimed and displaced.

You, on the other hand, are clearly easily fooled and gullible and are regularly mocked on here. You regularly call others names but get upset when you get some back. Frankly, from what I have read, you are fair game and if you want to spout your conspiracy theories here, fine, but you really need to grow a thicker skin. I made a very light hearted joke about reptilians. I am sure you have had a lot worse.

I’m always up for a bit of hypocrisy if it involves making fun of conspiracy theorists like you. As for me being a fool, calling me one makes you a hypocrite, doesn’t it? In fact, I would go further. Anyone who thinks there is no difference between Biden/Harris and Trump is more than a fool. I would suggest that they have some serious cognitive impairment.

Given he has rambled on in the past about his struggles with his own mental health, absolutely ripped into someone for making fun of mental health issues when they said another poster was living rent free in his head rent free glibly accusing someone else of having cognitive impairment is as hypocritical as it gets

remember this thead and his struggles to “man up” then tells other people to have thicker skin 🙄

Can any of our resident experts explain why the front pages of uk newspapers all reported on the wicked premiere, as it is smashing the box office right now, but only included photos of ariana grande, who is an American supporting actress and singer, and not cynthia erivo, who is British, playing the lead, and chasing an EGOT?

Ariana Grande is a huge international pop star in her own right and one of the reasons she was cast is because she is box office and will generate "free" publicity like bring on the front page of the newspapers.

The studio might frig it so they can both be nominated for an Oscar but her role is a lead role not a supporting one. Films can have more than one lead.

Why the fuck is Cynthia Erivo chasing egrets around?

Disgusting, hopefully the RSPB get involved, next she'll be hunting, it's a slippery slope, a path to serious offending that we've seen before.

One minute she's chasing off a couple of pigeons, then egrets, next thing she'll be paying £10k to shoot a giraffe.

Because Arianna grande is mega famous and nobody outside of the niche world of musical theatre knows who the other one is?
